Good morning. Welcome to the City Council of Colorado Springs regular meeting on Tuesday, September 23rd, 2025. We have a couple people on their way. Councilmember Williams. Here. They're all present or in route. We are welcomed this morning for um by Reverend Eric Strader from First United Methodist Church. Will you all stand for in the vacation? Invite you into a moment of prayer and begin by taking a big deep breath. Almighty God, we come before you today with gratitude for the city of Colorado Springs and for these dedicated individuals who serve on its city council. We ask that you bless our entire community, from the youngest child to the oldest elder, from the wealthiest citizen to the unhoused one and every neighborhood in between. In a time of disconnection, oh God, I pray that we open our hearts to one another, that our differences do not keep us from dialogue. We can never let the differences between us be a threat, but rather yet it leal yield a community that reflects the beauty of your very own creation. Finally, oh holy God, we lift up before you those who will be participating in this meeting today, the city staff who will support these people, our first responders, community leaders advocating for future directions, and the public seeking to be heard. We pray that the outcomes will lead to a more just, a more hopeful, and a more resilient Colorado Springs. Amen. Amen. Please join us in the Pledge of Allegiance.
