- Positions and Updates:
- Court Operations: The court currently holds sessions two days a month. Staff expressed a position that the current workload is manageable, though ticket numbers for 2025 (935 as of October) have already surpassed 2024 totals (873). Staff stated they do not anticipate the need to add a third day of court in 2026 or 2027.
- Case Closure: The team expressed pride in maintaining a case closure rate of over 100%, indicating they are clearing backlogs of older cases.
- Future Plans: The team expressed a position in favor of implementing a live-streaming requirement for criminal dockets starting in January.
- Jury Trials: Two jury trials are scheduled for December 29 and January 29. Staff explained that jury pools are drawn from state voter registration and driver's license lists, with a standard requirement of three jurors for trials where jail time is a possible penalty.
- Assistant Judges: Councilmember Hobeck requested a pool of 10-15 assistant judges in an emergency. The current Judge expressed a position that a pool is necessary for reliability, as relying on a single judge is "dangerous." Council agreed to a position that the Town Council must appoint these judges.
Erie Sports Business Improvement District (BID) Public Hearing
- Proposal: Organization of the Erie Sports Business Improvement District to finance $6.1 million in public improvements (streets, sidewalks, drainage) for a 36-acre sports complex site.
- Speaker Positions (Jack Hill, Lockie Woods, Harry Vrennan - Staff & Petitioners):
- Staff and petitioners expressed full support for the BID as the only viable financing tool to facilitate the donation of land to a nonprofit soccer club and attract commercial development.

Next item is twenty-five five seventy-four resolution of the town council town of Erie appointing the uh as most laws firm PC as the town prosecutor, December first, twenty twenty-five, and approve approving the associated professional services agreement. A resolution of the town council of the town of Erie appointing Brina Meng as the town Erie Town Attorney as of December first, twenty twenty-five, and approving the associated employment agreement. A resolution of the town council, town of Erie approving the seventh amendment to the agreement for the final design, right-of-way acquisition and construction of drainage and flood control improvements for the for the Coal Creek from County Line Road to Kenosha Road with the urban drainage and flood control district, DBA Mile High Flood District. Next item is 25544, a resolution of the town council of town area approving a professional services agreement for northwater treatment facility depot injection design with new IPT Incorporated.
