Meeting Transcript
Can I get a motion for the approval of the old business for the April 16th meeting? For the BPW minutes. Motion to approve. I'll second that. All in favor? Aye. Aye. Moving on to new business. The first item, the City of Evansville Finance requests approval of a contract and an agreement with downtown Evansville Economic Development District for the cleaning and inspection of the Portland Loo. A single user public restroom located at 119 Northwest 6th Street in Evansville, Indiana. Total contract amount, $33,000 paid in monthly payments of $2,000 and 33 cents, amounting to $28,000. And a one-time lump sum payment of $5,000 for installation of graphics on the facility. The agenda has Laura Bennett, but I believe Rebecca Butcher is here. Yes, sir. Good afternoon, board. Yes, I'm just here to present for Laura and um her absence. And um this is actually uh at the Mets location if I'm I'm correct. So yeah, um we just need to get this uh going if it's all right with you. Awesome. Is that in use already, or is that is that waiting for the graphics? Do you know? I believe it's waiting for the graphics. Okay. Um my only question is kind of a geeky question of do I don't know how we're measuring success on that, but that may be a question better asked to the economic improvement district. But I'm I'm tremendously excited to see us have a facility like that in our downtown. Um we don't have enough public restrooms out there for uh that's a good location for that. Um questions from the board? No. Motion to approve. Second, all in favor? Aye. Aye. Thank you. Thank you. The City of Evansville Mets requests approval of an amendment one to a contract with Trapeze Software Group Incorporated to upgrade the current system to GTFS real time to work with our ticketing project. Trapeze Software Group Incorporated doing business as TripSpark Technologies. Total contract amount 11,361 dollars. Jonathan C.B. King is here again. Hi. Thanks for having me. So uh GTFS stands for general transit specification. Uh general transit feed specifications. Basically, if you look on Google Maps and you can see, you know, when a bus is showing up at your location, that's how. Uh TripSpark uses technology that sends that information out uh using GTFS. Right now, we want to do the RT version, which means real time, instead of using algorithms, it actually use the actual location of the vehicle. And we need it to do that now because of our new digital ticketing app that's coming out. They have their own standalone app and they have to have real time. They can't use um the algorithm to make it work. So this will actually show up more accurate information for our passengers.
