Contract Extension with Action Staffing – Lisa Foster from the Department of Metropolitan Development (DMD) requested an extension of the contract with Action Staffing from July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2027 (not to exceed $25,000). The contract supports staff training and assistance with HUD funds, specifically CDBG project IDIS 5094. The board clarified the original contract ended June 30, 2026, and approved the one-year extension to 2027. Motion carried.

Vehicle Transfer to the Zoo – The BPW requested approval to transfer a 2001 Ford F-550 (VIN 1FDAF56F01ED00813) to the zoo in exchange for a golf cart. The board approved the asset swap.

Subdivision Sidewalk Waiver for River Valley 4 – City Engineer Brian requested a waiver for sidewalks along the north side of the proposed road extension in the River Valley 4 subdivision off Constellation Drive, east of Green River Road. Sidewalks will be installed on the south side (within the development lot). The board approved the waiver.

Right-of-Way Permit Applications – The City Engineer recommended approval of applications 2993–2997, 2999–3008, and 3011 with no exceptions; conditional approval of application 3010 for parking on Bay Street right-of-way only (not on South Kentucky Avenue due to blocked sight distance); and denial of South Kentucky Avenue right-of-way parking at the Bay Street intersection. Exceptions were noted for applications 2998 and 3009 (work in the county). The board approved the recommendations, including David Condi's application 3011 for angle parking.

Events and Road Closures – The Board of Public Safety had approved five events on June 10, 2026. The BPW approved the following road closures and barricade requests:
- Albion Fellows Bacon Center's "Bringing Home the Bacon" event: Locust Street closure from SE MLK Jr. Blvd to SE 9th St, October 2–3, 2026, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Rotary Foundation's 2026 Santa Run: route from ICamp Scout Center to East Sycamore, South Albert Blvd Park, East Gum, South Dexter, back to ICamp, December 5, 2026, 6:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
- WNIN Jazz Festival: Main Street closure from Riverside to 2nd St and part of First St from Sycamore to Main, July 17–19, 2026 (4 p.m. to 10 a.m. on July 19).
- Maxwell Avenue closure between Harding and Haven Drive for North Haven General Baptist Church event, July 18, 2026, 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (road closure also approved).
- South outside lane of Heidelbach Avenue between Herndon Drive and Maxwell Avenue for the Evansville Police Department's Dust Bowl event in the park, June 22–27, 2026, 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. (road closure also approved).

Railroad Crossing Grant with Road Safe – Todd Robertson, Executive Director, reported that the city received a grant for maintenance work at railroad crossings. A contract with Road Safe for $5,015 was approved for work at specified crossings.

Cohen and Malad LLP and Scott Yanover PC, collectively referred to as attorneys, to authorize Marco Delusio in his capacity as city attorney is the authorized representative to direct attorneys and to be the primary individual to communicate with attorneys regarding the subject matter of attorney representation of the client under this agreement. Next up, the city of Evansville DMD requests approval of an extension to a contract with Action Staffing Incorporated from July 1st, 2025 to June 30th, 2026, not to exceed 25,000. Staff training and staff support related to HUD funds. This is 2026-27 CDBG IDIS number 5094. Lisa Foster with DMD. Good afternoon, Mr. President, members of the board. This is actually to extend the contract with action staffing through June 30th of 2027. We have a retired DMD employee who comes in and helps us with some of the institutional knowledge that she has and helps us with our home pro home funds and our CDBG projects. So outstanding. And who's that? Uh Donna Bailey. Great. Any questions from the board? No. I just have one clarification. So on our agenda at 7-1 of 25 to 6 30 of 26. Is that incorrect? Okay. So it just needs to be checked. It is going through. Yeah. The original contract went through June 30th of 2026. Okay. And action staffing agreed to all the terms staying the same. So we are extending the contract then through 27.
