So we're hoping to extend this contract so that they can continue working with those home buyers.

1:27

This is another contract.

1:28

I think we're going to um change the dates that the contract runs from October 1st through September 30th.

1:35

Seems to work better with this program.

Hello, thank you.

2:02

Mets is seeking uh continuation of our free bus fare program for seniors and those living with a disability.

2:09

Okay.

2:09

Program started out.

2:10

Uh it was backed by a local grant.

2:13

Um that funding ran out, and we wanted to try and continue the program and see how it works.

2:21

Uh question.

2:22

Then the so you say the funding ran out.

2:25

And is this a request for funding then?

2:27

Uh no, this is just a request to continue the program.

2:30

Okay.

2:30

As a fair free service for the elderly and those living with a disability.

2:35

This is something that we as the as a Mets at Transit, we want to continue this pilot program internally in-house since we saw some success with the with the actual funding that they did.

2:48

Now we want to try it within our own internally.

2:52

Yes.

3:11

Is that correct?

3:12

Yeah, that's that'll uh Marco had asked about putting over their other benefits, but if you're okay right now, I'll do it.

3:18

Uh this is be a pilot program.

3:19

It was brought up to us uh during one of the traveling city halls.

3:22

Yeah, and we were interested in offering a pilot program for uh disabled veterans that receive at least 10% in uh disability uh through the VA.

3:32

Awesome.

3:33

Any questions from the board?

3:35

I have one.

3:36

How will you know that?

3:38

Will they get like a card to get on the bus or how does it how does it work?

3:41

What they would do is uh whenever they register or fill up the application, they would show us their photo ID, they would show us their form where it shows that they get at least 10% in disability benefits.

3:52

We would then issue a card at Mets that they would be able to ride with.

3:56

Okay, that's the ID they show.

3:58

Can I get a motion for approval?

4:00

Motion to approve.

4:13

Next up, the city of Evansville City Engineers requests approval of River Valley Four Street Drainage Plan.

4:20

Brian Monday, tell us more about that.

4:23

Um this is a street drainage plan off of Constellation Drive.

4:27

Um, the subdivision called River Valley Four.

4:35

Off of Green River Road.

4:37

And this is like like ditch clean out or or grade.

5:53

City engineers request approval to reject all bids for project number 26-012, 2026 for pavement preservation.

6:06

Brian, tell us more about that.

6:07

Yes, we um had looked into using a new um pavement preservation method called Cape Sealing, which is where they chip and seal the road and then put a micro seal on top of it.

6:21

When we talked to the contractors about this, the price we got is about oh 60% less than what the bids came in.

6:33

So the bids were way higher than what we expected, and we feel we can just mill an overlay for a little bit more.

6:41

So uh we're gonna keep looking at alternative pavement meth preservation methods, but uh this particular project we're gonna reject.

6:51

Understood.

6:52

Can I get motion for approval?

7:18

Exception is taken on application 3048 as the proposed work is in the county.

7:25

Compliant maintenance of traffic procedures for the Indiana MUTCD should be implemented as required for each site specifics.

7:32

Board of Public Safety approval may be required prior to any lane restriction or street closure.
