Consent Calendar
- Approval of June 8, 2026, Meeting Minutes: Motion by Commissioner Haldon, second by Commissioner Brisendine. Approved 10–0.
Discussion Items
-
HCLC 26-164 – 966 East Pulaski Street (Terrell Heights Historic District): The applicant sought certification that eligible work (removal of perma stone, restoration of original siding) met zoning ordinance requirements and recommended City Council approval of a historic site tax exemption. Staff noted the property was reclassified from non-contributing to contributing. Two letters of support were received. The commissioners praised the project as "lovely."
-
HCLC 26-165 – 1207 Verbena Street: Staff requested a determination that the primary structure, damaged by a fire on April 23, 2026 (roof collapsed, rear wall collapsed, extensive interior/exterior damage), could not be reasonably rehabilitated to remain a contributing historic property. Staff assessed seven aspects of integrity; the property met only four. No public testimony was offered.
-
HCLC 26-149 – 936 East Cannon Street: The applicant requested a certificate of appropriateness to construct a new one-story residence. Staff recommended approval with conditions: small-size windows must maintain the same height and be limited to two sizes; the front door must be revised to a standard door without glazing or transparent glass elements. The proposed design was found compatible with the surrounding streetscape.

All right. Seeing none, we'll move on to the approval of the June 8th meeting minutes. If you've had a chance to look at those, we're open for a motion and a second. I make a motion to approve. Second. Alright, we have a motion to approve from Commissioner Brisendine and a second from Commissioner Ketchum. Well then right, that's fine. I'll probably also second.
