First, I uh we are honored to be joined by a state champion bowler.

Um we have no shortage of talent in this community, whether it's uh in music, the arts, athletics, uh, and this uh it's becoming a frequent thing now to celebrate state champions in the chamber.

So tonight there is on the regular portion of the agenda there is a uh resolution, but is a joint proclamation and resolution along with uh Mayor Jadwin honoring Kale Klaus, uh the OHSAA state bowling champion.

Uh and while I won't read the full text of the resolution, just a few things to note.

Um on March 7th, Cale became the first individual state bowling champion in GLHS history.

His outstanding three game series score of 720 included games of 232, 255, and 233, helping lead the Gehanna Lincoln boys bowling team to a fourth place finish in the state tournament, while uh contributing to back-to-back COHSBC overall championships, two consecutive district championships, uh, an undefeated 11 and 0 COHSBC season and a perfect 5 0 record in OCC divisional play.

Uh Kale completed the 25 26 season with a 205.7 average.

In addition, uh Kale is uh not only uh talented athletically, but also as a scholar athlete.

Um and I I just learned that he played uh violin in the orchestra for the spring musical as well.

Um as for what's next, Cale will continue to represent uh GLHS in the city by competing at the U.S.

High School Bowling National Championship this June before continuing his education and bowling career at Marion University, which I believe is in Indianapolis.
