Councilmember Enos-Sims noted the property was already zoned Residential Single Family prior to annexation. Councilmember Tekac stated the ordinance was brought back due to a typo. Mayor Habib explained the City Attorney required a re-introduction with the correct intended zoning. Motion by Councilmember Enos-Sims, second by Councilmember McSwain. All ayes.

- Mayor Habib announced several community events and recognitions:
- Marketing Manager Adam Kelly and the Recreation team received the City’s third straight Municipal Association Communications Award for promotion of the Daning Amphitheater.
- The Creek Collective now has a new art gallery featuring local artists.
- Kids Fest on August 2 was a success.
- National Night Out was successful (thanked Chief Roscoe and team).
- Citizens Police Academy begins August 13 (6-8pm Wednesdays for 8 weeks).
- Splash Pad at Central Creek Park transitions to fall hours (Aug 13 – Oct 19: Wed/Fri 3-7pm, Sat/Sun 10am-6pm; Toddler Time Wed 10am-12pm, Sat 9-10am; Homeschool Time Fri 10am-12pm).
- City Pool weekends only through August 31 (11am-7pm).
- Veterans banners ($100) and bricks ($125) sale extended through August 15.
- Central Creek Farmers Market returns August 20 and September 3 (4-7pm).
- Movie Night at Carnes Crossroads on August 23 at 7pm (A Minecraft Movie).
- Labor Day (Sept 1) – City offices closed; Monday trash pickup moves to Tuesday.
