Meeting Transcript
Great, thank you. Uh welcome to the January 21st, 2021 Greenville Planning and Zoning Commission. This is the continuation of our meeting that was scheduled for January 19th. Tonight, we will consider the matters that were on the agenda from the 19th, which are items two, three, four, and five. We will have a discussion amongst commission members, and then we'll entertain any votes or any motions and then vote on those items. So having said that, I would call upon uh Billy Parker to do the indication for our meeting that's returning. No problem. Just uh please bow your heads. Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for this uh this great day that you've given us and uh as we come before you tonight uh to do the city's business. Uh we ask uh your direction and uh your guidance. Dear Lord, be with our nation and uh be with our city, be with our city leaders, dear Lord, be with our mayor, uh our council members, and dear Lord, all the boards and commissions, but more specifically tonight, be with the planning and zoning board as we uh uh make decisions uh for the city, guide us and direct us. Uh dear Lord, just guide our relationships and our families, and dear Lord, we just uh ask your guidance and direction. And uh dear Lord, just thank you for all you do uh for our families, and uh we just appreciate uh all you do for us. Dear Lord God guard and direct us in all that we do as we do the city's business and give us uh the diligence, uh dear Lord, uh, to make good decisions in your name, amen. Mr. Parker, thank you for those words and Ms. Castro, would you please call the roll for those who are in attendance tonight? Yes, sir. Les Robinson here, Michael Overton, here Max Joyner. Pat Maxwell here, John Collins here, Alan Brock, Kevin Faison. Here Chris West. Here Brad Goose here Alan Thomas. Sir, you have quorum. Ms. Castro, I did not see Mr. Faison's picture. Uh could he identify himself when he answered here, please? Uh Kevin Faith and me. Kevin Faithon here. We got you back again. Thank you, Mr. Faison. Okay, great. All right, uh members, let's proceed to the first item for consideration, which is item number two on the January 19th agenda, which is a request by the state of North Carolina for a preliminary platinum Millennial Warehouse Property. It's located near the south, excuse me, the northeastern corner of the intersection of West 10th Street and the CSX Railroad, further being identified as tax parcel numbers 01872, 09098, and 13099. The plat consists of seven lots totaling 9.04 acres. And with that item number and description, I will open it up for discussion amongst commission members, or I'll entertain a motion to approve or deny that request. And and this would be a simple motion. You do not have to include the comprehensive uh uh plan language for whatever motion you would do. Simple motion to approve or deny, and then a second to vote, correct? All right. Is there a motion or discussion? I'll make a motion to approve. Mr. Overton's made a motion to approve item number two. Is there a second to that motion? Looks like Mr. West Mr. West has a second to that motion. Is there any discussion on that motion?
