Miami-Dade Policy Council Meeting Canceled – June 9, 2025
The Miami-Dade Policy Council meeting scheduled for June 9, 2025, was called to order at approximately 2:15 PM but was immediately canceled because a quorum was not present. The Chairman announced that all agenda items would be forwarded directly to the full Board of County Commissioners (BCC) meeting, where a public hearing opportunity will be provided. No business was conducted.
Key Outcomes
- Meeting Canceled: The meeting was canceled due to a lack of a quorum. All items on the agenda—including four ordinances (Items 1G1 through 1G4), two commissioner‑sponsored resolutions, and departmental reports—were sent to the next full BCC meeting.
- Items Rescheduled: One commissioner (unidentified in the transcript) requested that their items, originally set for a June 26, 2025 meeting, be moved to the July 1, 2025 meeting, noting it is only three days later. The Chairman acknowledged the request.
Note: The agenda listed a start time of 9:00 AM, but the meeting was actually convened and canceled at 2:15 PM. No minutes were available.

All right, guys, we don't have quorum. Unfortunately. Um, so we're going to go ahead and cancel the meeting and send everything on this agenda straight to the Board of County Commissioners meeting. Public hearing opportunity will be available at the full board. Uh so nothing will skip a beat, nothing will be delayed, and everybody will have the opportunity to speak at the full board on these items if you're here to speak on them today. Um we're here, but we just simply don't have quorum. We're trying to. So, I know I can't actually get something. Mr. Chairman. Uh, hi. Um, I have a couple items. Remember when we swapped the meetings? Uh, the June twenty-sixth date, I'm not here. Could my items be moved to the July first meeting? It's only three days later. Okay, thank you.
