Good evening and welcome to the City of Rockfield Historic District Commission meeting number 10-2024.

Today is Thursday, December 19th, 2024.

I'm HDC chair, Anita Neal Powell.

I am joined by my fellow commissioners.

Seth Dimbo, Peter Falserman, Mercy Shinyay, and Michael Goldfinger.

We are also joined by city staff, Sheil Fazeri, Preservation Planner, and Katie Gervis, comprehensive planning manager.

Meetings of the historic district commissions are being conducted online via WebEx until further notice.

The first item on the agenda is committee or organization reports starting with Pierre List Rockfield.

I understand they will not be given a report tonight.

They will unable to attend.

It was a change for me to talk about Lincoln Park's past of demolishing Lincoln Terrace and its future regarding home ownership, which really did not include those who lived at Lincoln Terrace, but it did include new residents in 2007.

The event was hosted as part of the 11th annual community development week, October 7 to 11, and primarily sponsored by community development network of Maryland.

Just uh in general, madam chair, happy holidays to the commissioners as well as all of the employees and everyone that helps us make things go smoothly for the HCC.

I also attended the navigating navigation of ADU development and historic districts presented online December 12th by the National Alliance of Preservation Commissions.

It was interesting, and maybe another at another time I can share more information about what we could take away from the presenters.

So this was something that Sheila has sent out early last month, I guess, right?

I don't remember, but I guess I did.

Yeah, you really did.

And so I just chimed in because I was really interested in ADUs and historic district and how all of that would come together.

So I was able to attend the meeting and I will share the video with you.

They didn't talk about Maryland at all.

There were three other states that they talked about, like Kentucky and I remember sending that out.

So I just wanted to share that with you.
