0:00
Board of Directors and we want to thank you for all coming out tonight and looking forward to an exciting meeting.
0:07
Tabitha, if you will do the roll call and read the Metro Cable Replay Statement, please.
0:13
Of course. Director Burr, it's absent. Director Budge. Oh, look at that.
0:21
Director Dickinson. Director Hume. Director Kennedy. Director Maple. Director Warba.
0:29
Director Sheifer. Director Surnah is absent. And director Sing Allen.
0:35
Here. And Chair Jennings. Here. With that, we have a quorum of nine votes. And this meeting of the Sacramento Regional Transit District is recorded and closed captioning.
0:45
The recording will be cablecast on Metro Cable Channel 14, the local government affairs channel on the Comcast and Direct TV universe cable systems.
0:54
The recording will also be video streamed at Metro 14 live dot sack county dot gov.
0:59
Today's meeting replays Thursday, January 30th at 3 p.m. and Saturday, February 1st at 2 p.m. on Metro Cable Channel 14.
1:07
Once posted the recording of this meeting can be viewed on demand at youtube.com forward slash Metro Cable 14.
1:14
Members of the audience wishing to address the board should fill out a speaker card located at the rear of the room and provide it to myself or Adam.
1:21
Once the item has been called additional speaker cards will not be accepted. The time allowed for public comment is at the chair's discretion.
1:28
The timer will chime when you have 20 seconds and then again when your time is up. There was one written public comment provided to the board on item number four from Rick Hodgkins relating to customer service and feedback and updates.
1:43
Okay, so with that, I'd like to do the Pledge of Allegiance and I'd like to call on director Lisa Kaplan to come to the microphone and lead us in the pledge of allegiance.
1:58
Would everyone please stand if you can.
2:07
I pledge I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands one nation under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all.
2:22
We are not just getting awards for you.
2:30
Okay, we have two items on the consent calendar item 2.1 and 2.2.
2:43
Do I hear any item that needs to be discussed at this time? Is there any public comment on either item?
2:50
Yes, we have public comment. It's a consent calendar items 2.1 to 2.3 and we have public comment on 2.2 and 2.3. Jeffrey Tartigia.
3:03
Yes, this is Jeffrey. My comments related to is this you have these contracts going out for dealing with the dose reos.
3:16
Five years ago was the last time I've seen for the plans for dose reos when we only had $100,000 for mitigation.
3:26
Now we had more than a million dollars to mitigate seems like it would change a lot of what's going on and happening.
3:33
So question is what are the plans looking like now that to complete this station and of these four I think it is contracts.
3:45
Are they dealing with making it level? Are they dealing with you know by what I could see it's hard to determine what are they component wise bringing up and coming through.
3:59
We're building this station and where is the master plan of what is going to be built to look like because clearly at 65th Street when you showed to the Mac a agenda meet him and what he was coming out was not was laid out and what actually was created and built.
4:20
So wondering that this dose real station what is going to be built and what does it look like.
4:28
I don't know now. That's my comment.
4:32
All right, we'll have staff look into that and get some information for you.
4:37
And 2.3 Helen O'Connell.
4:45
Hello board. I'm glad to see you again.
4:49
I'm only going to be here a couple of times.
4:54
I was looking at the 2.3 the you serve.
5:00
They're the supplementary service and sometimes the supplementary service is extremely important because we don't have enough buses or drivers.
5:14
So I think that's on our t go to do all of the service.
5:21
But I was under the impression that they were only supposed to cover.
5:26
I think it's 30 25 or 30% of the monthly rides.
5:32
And I was wondering if there was something keeping us from increasing the amount of rides that they could perform during the whole month.
5:43
So maybe 40 or 50% of the rides because we're still running way behind on the article service that's using the kind of way buses.
5:57
So that was my question. Thank you.
6:01
We'll get somebody to answer that question for you.
6:04
Thank you so much for the question and thank you for being here.
6:10
I would take a motion on the calendar. If I'm on the consent.
6:14
If there is no director comment on any of the consent items.
6:20
It's been moved in second. All in favor say aye.
6:25
We are then unanimous.
6:28
So item 3 is the introduction of special guests.
6:33
And I think it would be appropriate at this point in time since we really don't have any special special guests.
6:39
So we do have two new board members that will be coming on to the RT board.
6:45
I'm not certain if they're here today or not, but when they are here, we want to all welcome them.
6:51
And Anna Roba from Folsom and Mary Jane Lopez taff from Citrus Heights.
6:59
And so if they are here.
7:01
Yes, they're both present.
7:03
Why don't you go to the microphone and say something real quick. Let us know who you are.
7:20
Good afternoon, everyone. Mary Jane Lopez taff. The alternate for the city of Citrus Heights.
7:26
Very happy to meet you all.
7:35
And Anna is here. So you can speak from.
7:43
Sorry, I didn't introduce myself to you earlier, but so I my name is Anna.
7:49
I come from the Folsom City Council and I'm very happy to be here. I've been on the council for almost two and a half years, basically, or two years.
7:58
And my first regional board. So I'm getting up to speed and I appreciate everybody's professionalism so far. And I'm already excited about being appointed to this one.
8:11
So thank you for welcoming me and I look forward to working with all of you in the future.
8:15
Thank you. We look forward to working with you as well. So welcome. Glad to have you.
8:20
Okay. Any other comments on item three?
8:24
There are no comments on items three. Do you want me to go ahead and read the items?
8:33
Okay. So per chair, I'm going to go ahead and read all four items into the record and then chair Jennings will provide a brief presentation.
8:40
After his presentation, we will have director and public comment and then all four reserved resolutions will be voted on at one time.
8:47
And after that, we'll take some quick photos by the logo at the back wall.
8:52
So we have 3.1 resolution 2025 01001 commending Patrick Kennedy 3.2 resolution 20250102 commending Lisa Kaplan.
9:04
Item 3.3 resolution 20250103 commending my vein and item 3.4 resolution 20250104 commending Mike Kislowski.
9:18
Wonderful. So this afternoon on behalf of the board and the Sacramento RT staff, I have the great honor recognizing and expressing sincere appreciation and gratitude for several of our current and former board members who have just been named for their exceptional services provided to the Sacramento region.
9:38
Let's give them a round of applause now.
9:43
I'm going to start off by recognizing the gentleman to my left who is the chair and current Sacramento County supervisor Patrick Kennedy.
9:54
And I just want to thank him for quarterbacking the RT Sacramento RT team for the last two years and setting the plays for future years. Now you guys got that right, setting the plays you caught that.
10:07
Okay, so over his eight years on the RT board, he has contributed to many historic and strategic initiatives. However, tonight, due the time, we will just mention a few significant accomplishments from his term as chair over the last two years.
10:24
The full list is in the resolution, which we will give him a little bit later. Some of those accomplishments include our milestone 50th anniversary, the ride free RT student ridership, which achieved 4.2 million rides.
10:42
He's earned over $680 million for the light rail modernization project.
10:48
Was also awarded $77 million for the FTA low or no emission grant program, which helped sack RT transition from zero emission buses.
11:00
And on behalf of the Sacramento board and staff, we thank director Kennedy for his incredible service and dedication and at this time.
11:08
And also recognize him and give him a big round of applause.
11:17
Now I got to ask you was that short enough? That was almost short enough. That was his last direction to me as a chair to the vice chair is.
11:30
So we didn't embarrass you too much. Thank you very much. But you have to say something and going out, please.
11:36
I wish I could take credit for all of that. Although the modernization has been, you know, a focus of mine for the years that I've been on this board and I think four or five years I've been chair.
11:49
It's, but it's really our staff. And there's no staff that's more capable that's better, that's more dedicated to the mission of this organization or an organization than I've ever seen.
12:02
I think all of you for making all of us look good. And, you know, we got a lot more work to do. But thank you all fellow board members. It's been a pleasure serving as your chair.
12:13
All right. All right.
12:19
So at this time, I would also like to recognize and thank former RT board members Lisa Kaplan over there Lisa.
12:31
Mike Kolowski and my van for their representing their prospective cities and the RT board of directors through December of 2024 under their direction, RT Sacramento RT continued this historic transformation to optimize service, seek continuous and innovative mobility options and bring greater value to the diverse communities that they served.
12:56
Some of these transfer made it transfer made of transformation. How do you say that? Thank you.
13:05
Some of these transformative improvements include the initiative mentioned a few minutes ago, as well as successfully transitioning its smart RT ride on demand micro transit service to a new shared use mobility program known as SAC RT Flex.
13:24
And in collaboration with the city of Sacramento, SAC RT launched a new bus stop enforcement program to improve safety, accessibility and reliability.
13:35
Primarily primary construction, preliminary construction work started on the future, Dell real, those real station site.
13:47
And we want to thank each one of them again and director Kennedy and former directors Kaplan, Kosalski and van for keeping SAC RT on the track to excellence by improving fiscal stability, building reserves, attracting new riders and heightening the commitment to providing clean, safe and convenient service for people who live, work and play in the Sacramento region.
14:13
As a token of our appreciation, we would like to present each of you with a symbol of our deep gratitude for your leadership and for all that you've done for SAC RT.
14:23
I would ask each of you to join vice chair, sing Allen, Henry, our general manager and I for a photo in the entry wall. And I think you'll get your gifts out there as well.
15:54
Do you want one with 30?
16:03
One of them one more big round of applause.
16:12
Thank you for your indulgence chair.
16:19
I'm going to be there quickly before my colleague director or council member Kaplan's and former director.
16:27
I just wanted to say one of the things that I appreciate the most about working with you on this board is your your constant focus on making sure that we provide.
16:35
Good public transit to the Thomas and north of the river.
16:37
I'm going to be there.
16:46
We will we will vote on those four items.
16:50
And so I'd look for a motion.
16:56
All in favor say aye.
17:11
Is there any items that are.
17:14
Matters not only agenda that the public like to address.
17:18
We have Jeffrey Tartigia and then Helen O'Connell and then Robert Copeland.
17:27
Let's have Helen start.
17:32
This is going to be the only other time you see me.
17:39
As Patrick Kennedy suggested.
17:45
All the issues that are.
17:51
Accessibility issues that pertain to the light.
17:55
The light rail cars.
17:58
I think it is important that we keep all of them.
18:04
There have been many.
18:06
And I've brought up a lot of them.
18:09
So I hope that you might be able to do a subcommittee for that.
18:16
So that the whole board will get up to speed on what's actually happening on the ground.
18:23
Thank you very much.
18:31
I'll use the hand mic.
18:33
I will echo those comments through there in that.
18:38
I have detected again another flaw in that if you push on the button for the ramp.
18:47
The ramp doesn't deploy.
18:49
So we'll encourage.
18:52
And looking at the timing because it seems like light rail.
18:56
Generally on the gold line right now is running five minutes behind schedule.
19:01
And I believe part of the impact of that is simply the factor of how many times you have to go up and down with the doors.
19:09
Because it seems like it takes an extra minute to deploy the ramp.
19:13
Versus the other side.
19:15
And drivers to there.
19:16
There are other things to consider.
19:18
I've told and talk with operations repeatedly about things that I observe and see.
19:23
So they get changed.
19:25
But I don't know the board is aware of all the things that are happening.
19:29
I've had where the signage and there so I have been in a case blocking the aisle because there is.
19:37
Basically a elderly couple that is sitting in the priority seating on both sides.
19:44
So I am stuck in the middle.
19:46
So your aisle is totally blocked.
19:49
There are other considerations going on.
19:51
Through there, but please understand what the limitations of our local.
19:57
They are beautiful vehicles.
19:59
But at the same time they have some severe limitations.
20:04
And comparing them to the old vehicles.
20:06
And accessibility and other issues.
20:09
Unfortunately, the old ones have far greater range and ability.
20:15
And that's my public comment related today.
20:24
He's going to talk.
20:38
I want to know how many RT board members and Henry Lee have actually used RT bus system.
20:44
Whether light rail or the bus.
20:49
More than I thought.
20:51
I thought maybe Patrick can do a couple of others, but more than I thought.
20:56
Thank you for that.
20:59
Also, some of the ticket machines on the light rail stations won't take cash.
21:05
I don't know how many other ticket machines are like that.
21:11
Or they don't take cash.
21:15
Also, I don't like the new light rail trains at all.
21:23
Because I remember I was at the Zampendale light rail station.
21:26
We was trying to help one of the passengers lower the ramp.
21:31
What's the need for.
21:37
She need help from the other passengers.
21:41
So we help her out.
21:46
So I would imagine that we are doing some kind of customer satisfaction surveys to find out whether there are others that may like or not like certain things about.
21:59
Mr chair, you know, we normally any only we we do that.
22:03
And last several years.
22:05
Our customer satisfaction rate.
22:08
Has been always about 82%.
22:11
Industry wide average is about 70%.
22:15
And we heard lots of for your comments feedback about our new light rail.
22:22
And we have been trying to work with our customers.
22:28
Very diligently to see how we can address those issues.
22:32
And I think we have addressed lots of concerns.
22:36
And our VP of operation will do a comprehensive.
22:41
Update to the board next board meeting, which is February 11th, right.
22:49
If we're here from the feedback from customers and from board members.
22:55
And we always want to hear that feedback.
22:58
So I appreciate you letting us know when things are working and not working.
23:01
So we can try to fix those things and get them to the point where they're working to everyone satisfaction.
23:07
So we thank each of you for coming in today.
23:09
And thank you for speaking on items that are not only agenda and letting us know what's going on.
23:14
Any other comments on items not only agenda?
23:17
There are no more items.
23:19
And we will move to item 5.1, which is the SEC RT board and commissions appointment.
23:25
So this is a chair appointment.
23:27
It's a reappointments of board members to the ad hoc real estate committee.
23:31
And at this time, chair, if you could appoint the board member representatives for the real estate committee.
23:36
And this will establish a time frame of 12 months to perform their duties as an ad hoc committee.
23:42
Typically, this has been one member representative from each jurisdiction.
23:47
One member from each jurisdiction.
23:49
And the current member who's on the on that commission right now.
23:54
Can they be reappointed? Yes.
23:59
So I think I'm a new little help understanding how we go through this process tonight.
24:04
So I'm happy to stay if that's.
24:09
I would like to express my interest of being on the committee.
24:13
I'm not currently on there.
24:14
Good. There you go.
24:18
And then we would need director Schaeffer for citrus heights.
24:25
I saw, I saw I'm smile as soon as you said his name.
24:28
And then you would need a director orba from Folsom.
24:33
I subtly volunteer.
24:36
and then you would need either director Singh Allen or director Brewer from Elk Grove.
24:47
They have vice chair.
24:49
I got the scissors.
24:53
I got the microphone.
24:57
Either way, I'm happy to serve. There you go.
25:00
Anybody else you need?
25:03
I think it's perfect.
25:05
We need a motion to approve.
25:07
It's a chair appointment.
25:09
I think maybe you the chair will vice chair.
25:13
You should join us.
25:16
So, aren't you on it?
25:19
Well, I wrote down maple for the city.
25:23
So you need one chair vice chair.
25:29
Well, then sorry, Rod.
25:38
leadership, including all the jurisdictions are becoming.
25:41
Actually, leadership plus jurisdiction.
25:51
Much for rescinding.
25:52
I will still serve.
26:01
So we have director Sing Allen, director Budge, director Kennedy, director maple, director Schaeffer, and director Roerba.
26:10
And I'm assuming we had no public comment on that.
26:17
To comment on that.
26:18
But if I'm not mistaken, I'm.
26:20
I'm still interested in being on the committee representing the South half.
26:29
And we'll share in the.
26:32
When one of us can't go.
26:34
So you can put me down as an alternate or leadership.
26:43
Then we'll move to six point one general manager's report.
26:49
Good evening, chair.
26:52
And the members of the public.
26:55
Last year was a lot of outstanding year for security with many, many achievements, especially
27:02
we received about 170 million dollars competitive grants just in one year.
27:10
And I just want to recognize our dear friend, our original leader.
27:18
Saycock, previous executive director, Mike McKeeville.
27:23
Hey, sitting over there.
27:31
So lots of wonderful, you know, achievements we can miss.
27:35
But we're not going to do that today.
27:38
We just want to say, you know, there's always more to accomplish in the new year.
27:44
We are less than a month into the new year.
27:47
And they are already several major updates to celebrate.
27:53
But first, I would like to report a sad news with a moment of silence.
28:00
It is with great sorrow that I share the news of the passing of one of our flank line heroes.
28:10
He suddenly passed away on January.
28:17
Here was an integral part of the bus operations team professionally serving
28:22
sarcastic mission of moving people where they want to go when they want to go in the
28:29
Sacramento region for 19 years.
28:34
His kindness and bright spirit will be greatly missed by the
28:40
And the customers are like.
28:41
Please join me in a moment of silence to honor him.
28:56
To begin my remarks on January 5th,
29:02
but I don't agree too much on today's
29:08
actually prior this topic.
29:11
Leftovers about my life.
29:12
thanks to a new pass-in track at Grand Station.
29:17
The project has been nearly 20 years in the making,
29:22
following the 7.5 mile extension of the gold line in 2005.
29:29
This milestone would not have been possible without strong support from board,
29:35
City of Foresam, State and Federal funding partners and many stakeholders.
29:42
Certainly thanks to the incredible teamwork and dedication of Sakai Team.
29:48
Every team member played a vital role in delivering this transformative project.
29:56
It's often experienced with any major service change of this level,
30:02
but we have encountered some interval challenges,
30:07
which we are actively working on to resolve.
30:13
As we adapted to the new trends, track layout and improved service frequency,
30:20
we are also focused on training our staff to address these issues proactively
30:27
to ensure more consistent reliable service along this vital corridor.
30:34
During this transition, riders may experience occasionally delays as we refine our operations,
30:42
because we already have two minutes window to pass that pass-in track in the Grand Station, just two minutes.
30:50
Sometimes, if the operational process delayed one minute or two minutes,
30:56
we will have to stop before we enter the station.
31:01
But please rest assured that we remain fully committed to optimizing the service,
31:07
and we will continue to keep everybody informed as we make progress.
31:13
I have also asked our VP of Operations, Blanca,
31:16
to provide a more comprehensive report on library modernization
31:20
at the February Board meeting that I only mentioned.
31:26
Why Blanca will touch on ridership next time?
31:34
I just wanted to give a very quick update on this.
31:38
With it's been a new current year,
31:41
we continue to say growth system-wide,
31:45
where now approximately 84% COVID recovered.
31:51
As you can see, our fixed-road bus service is nearly 101% recovered,
31:58
while our library ridership is just shine of 70.
32:03
And everybody understands why our library ridership is lower,
32:08
because majority of riders are state workers.
32:12
Currently, we are on pace to enter the fiscal year with over 20 million rights system-wide.
32:23
Last Friday, the US DOT or LUNXT that the Secretary has been awarded,
32:29
nearly 9.6 million dollars from the race grant.
32:35
The grant provides the final funding needed to construct those rails station,
32:41
a new library station on Sakata's Proline.
32:44
The station will serve the Maraiso Vantage housing development
32:51
and the Sacramento's Ravall district, just north of downtown Sacramento.
32:58
Preliminary work has already begun.
33:01
The construction work has already begun at the site, constructing a retaining wall
33:06
and the levering grant major construction is scheduled to begin this spring.
33:12
This station is not just the station,
33:14
but also a line hundred feet of the new track to the new station.
33:21
We will be holding a celebratory grant-breaking event next month.
33:29
We look forward to say all of you to join this celebration.
33:36
In other exciting news, Sakata was just named the Sacramento Chapter of the Women's Transparency Seminar
33:45
as its 2024 employer of the year.
33:50
This is such an honor.
33:52
And the Sakata was recognized for professional development of our women leaders
33:57
and the support of the overall goals and the mission of WTS,
34:03
which is to attract, sustain, connect, and advance women's careers
34:09
to strengthen the transportation industry.
34:12
Our heartfelt thanks to the WTS for this amazing award.
34:24
The vehicle of professional development, Sakata,
34:29
in partnership with ATU Local 256, is proud to announce the upcoming launch
34:37
of the Partiless Moving Forward Mentorship Program
34:41
for our nearly 1,000 bus operators, bus and library operators.
34:47
With the inspiring slogan, low operator left behind,
34:53
this program aims to support operators through professional development,
34:59
health and wellness initiatives, and advocacy for positive workplace culture.
35:08
This mentorship program is designed to empower operators by providing resources,
35:15
peer-to-peer support, and opportunities to grow both personally and professionally.
35:22
Earlier I mentioned our customer satisfaction rate.
35:27
In the last several years, consistency has been about 82%.
35:32
Our employee survey, consistency has been over 83%, too.
35:41
And when we talk about our happy with our, you know, with the Sakata,
35:47
we are going to be able to make about 94%, 92%.
35:53
I'll say yes, they're happy.
35:56
And again, industry wide is about 70 or even be no 70.
36:00
Because our industry is very special and lots of streets in our business.
36:10
So we're very happy with this, this program.
36:16
We'll further improve our morale, our operators morale,
36:21
and once you know, with some great morale,
36:25
and we can provide even greater customer satisfaction.
36:31
And appreciate Aaron.
36:37
You comment about you appreciate the use of service.
36:44
That is the first time we heard.
36:47
It's such a wonderful feedback.
36:51
So on January 3rd, the new Sakata Flex Service officially launched,
36:56
replacing our legendary micro transit services,
37:00
which was actually among the earliest and the largest program in the nation
37:05
in the micro transit service.
37:07
The service is a vital transit option, desired for seniors,
37:11
though income individuals and persons with disability.
37:16
To use Sakata Flex, riders must meet the eligibility requirements
37:22
and register in advance.
37:25
The initial ridership lambers are very encouraging,
37:28
with static growth in demand and strong fulfillment rates,
37:34
averaging over 94% on most days.
37:39
The service has been has seen significant interest with the number of rides
37:44
requested and completed consistently increasing,
37:49
including a peak of 178 rides requested on January 10th.
37:56
Today, we have a complete over 2500 rides.
38:01
This results demonstrate the community's enthusiasm for this innovative
38:07
and accessible transit option, and we look forward to its continued success.
38:14
And I really want to thank to the guidance and support from our riders,
38:19
our board, and the diligent work of our staff,
38:22
which transformed this service with $8.5 million annual savings,
38:29
each year, $8.5 million savings,
38:33
and we are proud to remain as a public agency,
38:36
which strived to use taxpayers' money,
38:39
in a most physically responsible way possible.
38:45
With this saving, we were able to pay our 1500-union and long-union staff
38:51
competitively in the industry, and the capelay kept the morale high
38:57
to provide affordable, accessible and reliable services
39:02
to our meanings of rides, riders.
39:05
Also, with this saving, we were able to add some new services,
39:10
improved reliability and sustainability,
39:13
and provide more amenities for our customers.
39:17
Some of you might notice that we are going to change,
39:21
we're going to provide additional service in the real-yard area,
39:30
because we had agreement with the private part of the building to build a new
39:35
library station in the real-yard.
39:38
They are studying the construction and that,
39:41
the private part of the front entire cost and the library.
39:46
That put pressure on us to build a lot of 1.5 mile library track in the real-yard.
39:54
And again, that is a great yellow-arpe public-private partnership.
39:59
And as a result of that, we have to adjust our service to make sure that construction
40:08
will not affect our service.
40:15
So because of our relentless efficiency efforts in the past 10 years,
40:23
we have not reduced our service, though they are of people because of service cut.
40:31
And as a matter of fact, we actually add new services,
40:35
such as Express Bus routes to Davis and Airport.
40:40
And, partially, thanks to Mike's leadership from CAC,
40:44
and I think last 10 years, the first three years since I came here,
40:50
I had a privilege to work with him.
40:55
As a result, why we tried our best to take care of customers and employees,
41:00
our customers and employees satisfaction, I just mentioned,
41:04
so I'm not going to say that I can.
41:07
And then in the last 10 years, we did not have four to five hours board meetings anymore,
41:15
because we did not have hundreds of customers showing up in front of this governing board
41:21
as a result of service cut and financial difficulties.
41:27
And that, however, we have to always be alert about protecting our formula based money,
41:38
being capable in this region.
41:43
So we don't have to face service cut challenges in the future.
41:51
And that actually is real possibilities.
41:59
120 or 30 trans-relationsis in this state,
42:04
lots of them are facing this, and lots of them still not recovered the service level from the COVID,
42:15
and lots of them already provide about 80 or 90% of the pre-COVID level service.
42:24
And I believe one of the largest agencies in this state,
42:31
one of them just provide about 65% of the service still.
42:36
So thanks to board and thanks to our partners, thanks to our writers,
42:42
we were able to provide 100% of the service the whole COVID time,
42:47
except that three months when the entire nation shut down, when the COVID start.
42:53
So on one side, we should be proud of this, on the other side,
42:57
we should always be alert of our future.
43:01
And we don't want to have any service cut.
43:04
So our customers will not be happy.
43:06
By the way, to our surprise, we have not received any meaningful complaints about the change
43:16
from the microchannel to the SACRT-FLAQ service.
43:21
And that's just so, maybe our customers are so,
43:26
I mean, we've already experienced some of our customers.
43:30
They are so understanding about why we have to change.
43:33
And some, you know, even said in front of a board,
43:36
they were trying to adjust the request pattern,
43:42
not to request multiple times a day,
43:45
or you know, try to give more opportunities to other disabled citizens and others.
43:54
So this, so work great for our not to, you know,
43:58
this is our writers and everybody worked together to say how, you know,
44:03
we can provide the best service to the most needed citizens.
44:08
So with that, I conclude my report, Mr. Chair.
44:15
Thank you very much, Mr. General Manager.
44:21
I'm totally impressed with the lack of complaints moving from one system to another,
44:26
especially for a system as big as this,
44:29
to be able to make that kind of transition.
44:31
It means it was a total team effort between you and your staff and all the citizens out there
44:37
who were writing the different transportation systems.
44:41
So I really applaud you for that.
44:45
So I will open it up now for the directors to have who might have questions
44:49
or want to make a comment to our general manager.
44:57
Without them, I will move to our constituents, our citizens.
45:02
We have Robert Copeland.
45:03
Oh, I got in my office.
45:06
I got in my second.
45:08
I just want to say thank you.
45:09
I had a nice lunch with our Henry and a couple of his colleagues.
45:17
And thank you for your warm welcome.
45:20
And I look forward to working with you in the future as well.
45:28
Robert, are you next?
45:30
This is on the General Manager's report, correct?
45:34
I have a question for Henry Lee.
45:37
Where was Sacramento ranked nationally with the writer service?
45:42
I'd like to see more people write our tea.
45:44
I think we all agree on that.
45:48
Especially the stable population, the workers.
45:54
We kind of did a bit of ball average.
45:59
I'd like to see it above 100%.
46:02
Thank you for your courage.
46:05
I think we need more buses.
46:12
I think I'm the one that gave our tea a very low grade one time I was here.
46:20
I think you'll remember that.
46:23
I'd like to see it up to at least a B plus in my opinion.
46:28
I think we need to keep up the work Henry and our keyboard and all the staff members.
46:38
That was the only comment.
46:41
So I think what Robert was talking about is a term that we learned in my corporate days.
46:47
And it talked about continuous improvement, which we all strive for.
46:51
Is that we continually improve every single day.
46:54
And we get better and better and better.
46:56
And so I think we're on that track where we're trying to continuously improve to satisfy a lot of people.
47:03
And with the rating that Henry talked about earlier, we're doing a good job.
47:06
But we're not there yet.
47:07
We're not at that 100% yet.
47:09
But we're striving towards it.
47:12
We're striving towards it.
47:13
Now you're going above the under.
47:16
We are moving towards the end of our agenda.
47:18
We have item 7.1 left.
47:20
Reports, ideas, questions from directors, as well as communication.
47:36
It looks like all of our business has been done tonight.
47:45
It's the mobility advisory council meeting summary from January 16th.
47:51
Somebody presenting that or.
48:00
It's just the and there's no comment for it.
48:05
So that's the last item.
48:08
Any comments or questions on that item.
48:11
We are now at the end of our agenda.
48:14
And I will gavel us.
