Fifth Community Meeting on Duke Street Land Use Planning Process - April 23, 2026

Public Participation and Next Steps
- Interactive Engagement Portal: Christian demonstrated how to use the online portal, including interactive maps where users can place pins with feedback.
- Upcoming Opportunities: Staff announced virtual office hours (April 30, May 12, May 18, May 27) and two community meetings (May 28, June 17). Staff also offered to attend community group meetings upon request.
- Future Presentations: The framework plan will be presented to the Planning Commission on May 5 and to City Council subcommittees in May and June.

Hello, everybody, and welcome. We're gonna give um folks a few more minutes to get into the Zoom before we get started. But we are looking forward to our conversation with you today. So in the meantime, um feel free to hang tight and dream of framework plans while we are while we are waiting for the slew of folks just joined us. Welcome. Um we're gonna wait just a little bit longer for more um folks to join us. Um so thanks in advance for your patience. We should be getting started shortly. Oh well, good evening, everyone. Thank you so much for joining. Uh welcome. My name is Carrie Beach. I'm the division chief for neighborhood planning and community development. And we are so pleased you've decided to spend a little time with us this evening on this beautiful night. Um this is our fifth meeting in the Duke Street land use planning process. And um this has been uh a process of uh building all the elements of this plan together, and we're excited to um take this uh step with you tonight on the framework plan. Uh before we jump into it, I want to go over a couple of quick housekeeping items. Um the first one is that we do we are offering interpretation, live interpretation for the meeting. We have an M Haric and a Spanish interpreter, and so I would like to ask them to introduce themselves and make sure people know that the resource is available. Thank you very much. Um the second really quickly, I'm just gonna stop screen sharing because I can't find the interpreter control when I'm not when I'm in the thing. And now I'm going to turn interpretation on. Okay, there we go. Um, I just also want to mention that we will. Over the course of this process. And those are in the page of the project of the reunion. Yeah, sorry, next slide is you, Christian. You go ahead. Great. Apologies. So managing some other interpretation stuff. Okay. So this is something that we're going to do. We are all done. And in the plan de Marco, we're going to enter in more detail. We have been at this for the first time. We started doing some investigations of antecedents and participation community, no, zero of december 2024. Then we'll have the idea of evaluation process of evaluation of the idea of community. So the salut, uh, vivienda, mobility, sustainability. Recolect ideas communities, 75% are included in the plan. And we have three quincies residents and process and others who are in the process, no.
