Bill 43 amends to 2026 general flight budget to apply for supplemental appropriation of $50,000 from the Blue Burgess Greens to administer the third round of the minority fund.

So this is as it says the third round.

So this is really um effective grant funding that we're able to reach a lot of community groups.

And it's all youth-led projects.

So we're really excited to have another round, another opportunity to continue to do projects throughout the city that are focused on climate and sustainability and range everything from murals to community gardens.

And creativity is welcome.

So we'll be looking for applicants shortly.

And Veronica is going to handle it in a creative way where it's going to be how she's going to select it.

So I'm looking forward to see what comes out of this round of the youth climate action funds.

That's awesome.

And then I'm not sure if this was made public yet.

Do you know?

Um, I'm not sure off the top of my head that I can definitely find out.

Um I think they're gonna accept applications, and then there's gonna be like a meeting where the kids kind of present their idea.

So it's like a shark tank kind of uh way to do it to practice public speaking.

So I don't have that date all in the top of my head, but I off the top of my head, but I can definitely get that for you.

Bill 48 amends the 2026 stretch of fund by authorizing a supplement appropriation amount of three thousand nine hundred and fifty-five dollars and fifty cents, the parks and recreation departments to support the operating capital budgets.

Um, so when the Truxo fund does well, then we uh appropriate the additional amounts.

So that's what this is, and per the truckster agreement there is a required city match, so that's also included in this ordinance.

Um, this will support both operating and capital dollars.

So once we allocate it to the budget, then in the next meeting, I'll come back and actually allocate it to a project account for the capital, and then in the um it's going into the the operating account to support maintenance operations in the parks.

Umdates for parks and rec, Ms.

Um, so I do have a few if you um I appreciate the opportunity.

I wanted to mention that this Friday at six o'clock, weather permitting, we're doing a ribbon cutting at the um new mini pitch at Jordan Park.

And that is gonna that is gonna be uh really exciting project.

It was fully grant funded through Eastern PA soccer and Muscow Lighting.

So we're gonna be there to celebrate that brand new asset added to the park.

And we're also gonna have a watch party starting at nine, so it's gonna be a whole evening of celebration around the World Cup and the installation of that um soccer mini pitch asset.

And following that, and on June 19th, we have kick off Juneteenth with a flag raising at City Hall.

On the 20th, there's a community cookout, sort of that we're calling it.

It's a celebration with the vendors and food, and then throughout the weekend, the 19th, 20th, and 21st will be the basketball tournament.

So that whole weekend will be really busy with June 18th celebrations, and we're looking forward to to celebrating um celebrating Juneteenth.

And we had a successful uh flag football tournament this past weekend also to celebrate the the Juneteenth holiday.

Um, so those are the two I have coming up in the next few weeks.
