Y'all get over here, urban union, Lone Star Axe throwing. You won't regret it. The end of my spectrum, the lens that I view is to be able to help a young person dream for better. And being able to do that every single day. I'm living my American dream. Seasons of Change is a nonprofit organization that believes in giving back to others. We all go through seasons in our life and each season is different. I have been through tremendous tragic events from the time that I was two years old up until my early teens and then into my adult life. And being a teen mother myself, there was very few resources for someone back in the 80s who was a pregnant teen mom in high school. I birthed seasons of change to be able to help young women like myself. Seasons of change provide services such as runaway homeless youth. We have apartments that we place teens in for up to 18 months. We pay for lights, gas and water. We also have life skill and parenting classes we offer. When someone is in need of food, clothing, shoes, diapers, wipes, we're able to provide those services for our families. Arlington and the people here have helped me find myself. They've helped me, they've came alongside and helped me build this empire for the community and a great neighbors, great volunteers, and Arlington has something for everybody, and what better place to dream. The goal at the end of the year for the seniors, they're all seniors, is for them to take their medical certification test and become certified. So this will help not only them in their medical career because they all want to become stay in the health care, but it can also be a foot in the door for them and it can also help like if they you know help with college and stuff, they can have that job. The students that engage in this process learn so much. This year we have about 50 business partners. We're about 175 seniors in high school are placed in the internship experience. Climbing in Evangelista is a huge partner right now. I've had them in the past and we have uh two students that are going there right now. And you know, they get to hands-on assistance, they get to learn how to scribe, they get to learn how to input information, they get to ask the doctors questions whenever they possibly can. If you're interested in the medical field, you should really apply for it. You just have to be willing to take the challenges and do the work that's required in order to pass. I believe you should take advantage of these opportunities that are being given to you by the district. The kids get to use all their total mind to think outside the box.
