Arlington Planning and Zoning Commission Plat Agenda Meeting - August 7, 2024
The Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Arlington convened on August 7, 2024, at 5:30 PM in the Council Chamber at City Hall to consider several plat-related items. - V.B: Preliminary Plat – Dinh-Nguyen on Poly-Webb Addition, Lots 1-2, Block 1, and Lots 1-4, Block 2, zoned RM-12, located at 6400 West Poly Webb Road.
- V.C: Replat – Caravan Court Addition, Lot 4R, Block 1, zoned EDO-GC, located at 900 and 908 East Division Street.
- V.D: Preliminary – Autumn Parc Addition, Lots 1 and 2, Block 1, zoned PD for RMF-22, located at 1915 and 1921 West Arkansas Lane.
- Consent Agenda – Plats to be Disapproved or Denied: The Preliminary Plat for La Palma Addition (Lots 1-69, zoned PD for RM-12 and CC, located at 2221 Forum Drive) was disapproved/denied by a vote of 6 ayes to 1 nay (Commissioner Blake voted nay). The motion was made by Commissioner Greer and seconded by Commissioner Payne.

Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. My name is Dr. Ignacio Nunez. I serve as chair of the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Arlington. And I hereby call this regularly scheduled noticed meeting of the City of Arlington's Planning and Zoning Commission plat agenda for August 7th, 2024 into session. Let's see. Commissioner Carter, would you lead us in the pledge? Please rise. And to the Republic for which it stands. One nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Thank you. At this time, I would ask our administrator for the meeting to read the speaker guidelines in general decorum. Thank you, Chair. The City of Arlington fully embraces the values of diversity, uh, equity, inclusion, and accessibility where people of all identities and experiences are understood, appreciated, and fully included in the community and where equitable treatment and outcomes prevail. We ask the citizens and other visitors in attendance to assist in preserving that order and decorum at this meeting and to provide the uh for attendance at participation in the meeting without fear of intimidation threats and hostility. Any person making personal, profane, host hostile, uh slanderous or threatening remarks who uses vulgar or obscene language, or who engages in any other actions that disturb or are calculated to disturb the meeting, or who become disruptive while addressing the planning and zoning commissioners, or while attending the planning and zoning meeting may be removed from the council chambers. All speakers shall address the commissioners and not the audience or city staff and shall not call out individually named members of city staff or the public. For speakers tonight, when your name is called, please come to the microphone at the podium and state your name and city of residence for the record. The applicant will be asked to speak first and will be given ten minutes to make a presentation. Speakers in support or opposition of the item will be given five minutes each to make their statements. If there are many speakers for an item, each speaker will be given three minutes to make their statements. The applicant will then be given five minutes for any rebuttal. If multiple speakers plan to provide the same or similar comments, those speakers may, if they so desire, designate one or more individuals to provide public comment on behalf of the group. A bell will signal at the end of each speaker's time. And in consideration of other speakers, please conclude your comments promptly when you hear the bell. We ask that you address uh your comments to the planning and zoning commissioners. Thank you very much. Our first item of business is approval of the minutes of July 17th, 2024, planning and zoning plat meeting. A copy of these minutes were sent out to all of us in advance. Were there any changes or rec or corrections that were needed to the minutes? Seeing none, do I have a motion to approve the minutes? And is there a second? There is a motion to approve by Commissioner Ware and a second by Commissioner Blake. Please cast your votes now. We have two abstentions, six ayes. Motion passes. We now move to consent agenda plats to be approved with conditions. Tonight we have three plats on the consent agenda under plants, plats to be approved with conditions. We have an amending plat from the Oro Verde edition. Sorry. I'm sorry, Mr. Chair. Uh I believe we have seven commissioners at the table.
