The Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Arlington met on October 2, 2024 at 5:36 PM in the City Hall Council Chamber. Chairperson Nunez called the meeting to order. If we are all signed in. Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. My name is Dr. Ignacio Nunez. I serve as chair of the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Arlington. I hereby call this regularly noticed meeting of the City of Arlington's Planning and Zoning Commission regular session to order for October the 2nd, 2024. We will ask administration to please read speaker guidelines and general decorum. The City of Arlington fully embraces the values of diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility where people identities and experiences are understood, appreciated, and fully included in the community and where equitable treatment and outcomes for bill. We ask that the citizens and other visitors in attendance assist in preserving the order and decorum of this meeting and to provide for attendance at and participation in the meeting without fear of intimidation, threats, or hostility. Any person making personal, profane, hostile, slanderous, or threatening remarks who uses vulgar or obscene language, who engages in any other actions that disturb or are calculated to disturb the meeting or who become disruptive by addressing the planning zoning commissioners while attending the planning zoning meeting may be removed from the council chambers. All speakers shall address the commissioners and not the audience or city staff and shall not call our individually named members of city staff or the public. For speakers tonight, when your name is called, please come to the microphone at the podium and state your name and city of residence for the record. The applicant will be asked to speak first and would be given ten minutes to make a presentation. Speakers and support or opposition of the item will be given five minutes each to make their statements. If there are many speakers for an item, each speaker will be given three minutes to make their statements. Thank you very much. Copy of the minutes for September the 18th of our regular session agenda meeting were sent to all the commissioners in advance. Were there any changes or corrections that were needed to the minutes? Seeing none, do I have a motion to approve? I have that from Commissioner Maddox. I have a second by Commissioner Payne. Please cast your votes. Next on the agenda, we have uh we have to consider and adopt the schedule of the planning and zoning commission meetings for the year 2025. Uh, this is sent to us in advance. Do I have a motion to approve the calendar for the planning and zoning for the year 2025? I have a motion to approve by Commissioner Payne. I second by Commissioner Blake. Cast your votes. Motion passes nine to nothing. Um that's it. We're done. So any comments, any uh announcements? No announcements. So our next meeting will be uh here on October the 16th.
