The Planning and Zoning Commission met on December 4, 2024, at 5:40 PM in the City Hall Council Chamber to consider routine plat approvals and an extension request. All items on the agenda were approved unanimously (9-0). No public comments were made, and no discussion items were raised beyond the consent agenda and the extension.

I hereby call this regularly notice meeting of the City of Arlington's Planning and Zoning Commission plat agenda for December the 4th, 2024 into session. This time I'm going to ask administration to read the speaker guidelines and the general decorum. The City of Arlington fully embraces the values of diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility where people of all identities and experiences are understood, appreciated, and fully included in the community and where equable treatment and outcomes prevail. We ask the citizens and other visitors in attendance to assist in preserving the order and decorum of this meeting and to provide for attendance at and participation in the meeting without fear of intimidation, threats or hostility. Any person making personal, profane, hostile, slanderous, or threatening remarks who uses vulgar or obscene language, who engages in any other actions that disturb or are calculated to disturb the meeting, or who becomes disruptive while addressing the planning and zoning commissioners or while attending the planning and zoning meeting may be removed from the council chambers. All speakers shall address the commissioners and not the audience or city staff and shall not call out individually named members of city staff or the public. For speakers tonight, when your name is called, please come to the microphone at the podium and state your name and city of residence for the record. The applicant will be asked to speak first and will be given 10 minutes to make a presentation. Speakers in support or opposition of the item will be given five minutes each to make their statements. If there are many speakers for an item, each speaker will be given three minutes to make their statements. The applicant will be then uh given five minutes for any rebuttal. If multiple speakers plan to provide the same or similar comments, those speakers may, if they so desire, designate one or more individuals to provide public comment on behalf of the group. A bell will signal at the end of each speaker's time in consideration of other speakers. Please conclude your comments promptly when you hear the bell. We ask that you address your comments to the planning and zoning commissioners thank you very much. Uh first item of business uh is to approve the uh minutes of the November 13th, 2024 Plat Agenda meeting. These minutes were sent out to the commissioners in advance. Are there any changes or corrections to the plat agenda that need to be made? Saying none, do I have a motion to approve the minutes? I have a motion to approve by Commissioner Sumter and a second by Commissioner Blake. Please cast your votes. Motion passes nine to nothing. Next item on the plat agenda is to consider uh an extension. Uh excuse me. Tonight we have four platts on the consent agenda under plants to be plats to be approved with conditions. We have a replat of MILB Holding and Arlington the MILB Holding Edition. We have a replat of the WD Lacey edition. We have a minor plat of the calendar edition, and we have a final plat of the Eden Ranch edition. Do we have any speakers on these items? Hearing none, do I have a motion to approve the platts on the consent agenda to be approved with conditions? I have a motion from Commissioner Greer and a second from Commissioner Pain. Please cast your votes. Motion passes nine to nothing. Next on the agenda is to consider an extension request submitted by a plat applicant pursuant to Texas Local Government Code Section 212.009 B2. Tonight we have one plat to consider an extension. It's a final Plat of the John Stevens edition. Do we have any speakers on this topic? Hearing none, I need a motion to approve and a second. We have a motion to approve by Commissioner Payne and a second by Commissioner Play. Blake, please cast your votes. That motion passes nine to nothing.
