The Planning and Zoning Commission of Arlington, Texas, convened a Plat Session on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at 5:36 PM in the City Hall Council Chamber. All nine commissioners were present. The meeting addressed routine plat approvals and an extension request for a preliminary plat. No public testimony was heard.

- Plats Approved with Conditions (Consent Agenda – Items V.A–V.D, V.F–V.I): The following plats were approved unanimously (9–0) as part of the consent agenda:

- Preliminary Plat – Manors at Lynn Creek (1501 Mansfield Webb Rd.)
- Preliminary Plat – Calender Grove Addition (7005 Calender Rd.)
- Preliminary Plat – Eden Cooper Center Addition (6610–6800 S. Cooper St.)

- Replat – Barnes and Ditto Addition (Item V.E): This replat was removed from the consent agenda and voted on separately. Commissioner Blake motioned to approve, seconded by Chairperson Nunez. The motion passed 8–0–1 (Commissioner Sumpter abstained). The replat is located at 704 & 706 North East St. and is zoned Entertainment District Overlay (EDO)-Residential Medium Density-12 (RM-12).

The plat is for approximately 4.269 acres zoned Planned Development (PD) for multi-family student housing, located near S. Center St. and E. 2nd–4th Streets. Commissioner Blake moved to grant the extension, seconded by Commissioner Finley. The motion passed 7–1–1 (Commissioner Ware voted no; Commissioner Sumpter abstained).

I serve as chair of the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Arlington, and I hereby call this regularly noticed meeting of the City of Arlington's Planning and Zoning Commission Platte agenda for May 7th, 2025 into session. This time I'm going to ask Commissioner Ware to lead us in the Pledge of Allegiance. Please rise. And to the Republic for which it stands. One nation. Indivisible with liberty and justice for all. Thank you. Please be seated. Our first order of business is approval of the minutes. A copy of the minutes of our April 16th, 2025 plat agenda meeting were sent to all the commissioners in advance. Were there any changes or corrections needed to these minutes? Seeing and hearing none, do I have a motion to approve the minutes? I do, and I have a second as well. I have a motion to approve by Commissioner Winkles and a second by Commissioner Ware. Please cast your ballot. Motion passes nine to nothing. Okay. There we go. Okay. Next is uh consent agenda. Plats to be approved with conditions. We have an amending plat, Shorwood Estates number one, uh preliminary plat, manners at Lynn Creek, preliminary plat, calendar grove edition, preliminary plat, Eden Cooper Center edition, a replat of the Barnes and Ditto edition, and I'm going to skip a replat of the Riverview Plaza Edition, a final plat out of the Bonell Square edition, and a final plat of the total ENP edition. Do I have a motion to approve those plates? I have not read we're not voting on the Rankin Becker Industrial Edition at this time. Or Commissioner Sempter, is it that one or is it the uh uh Barnes and Ditto edition? So we will be voting on the Rankin Becker Industrial Edition. We will not be voting on the Barnes and Ditto edition at this time. So is there a motion? We have a motion to approve by Commissioner Greer and a second by Commissioner Blake. Cast your vote. Motion passes nine to nothing. We're going to now vote on the replat for the Rankin Becker, excuse me, a replat for the Barnes and Ditto edition. This is a um uh replat. I have a motion to approve by Commissioner Winkles and a second by Commissioner Finley. Please cast your vote. Okay, it looks like we skipped our let the record show that we have a motion to approve by Commissioner Blake. No, well, we're starting all over again. Okay. All right. We have a motion to approve by Commissioner Blake. I've seconded by Commissioner Nunez. So we're ready to go to vote. Cast your vote. Motion passes. Uh eight with one abstention. Next. We have an extension request submitted by a plat applicant pursuant to Texas Local Government Code Section 212.009 B-2.
