The Town of Bedford held a combined committee interview session and regular Town Council meeting on April 22, 2026. The evening began with interviews for committee appointments, followed by the regular meeting which featured the annual report from the Trustees of the Trust Funds, appointments to various boards and commissions, and a public hearing on a rehearing request regarding a citizen petition to remove two properties from the Historic District. The council voted on multiple appointments and ultimately denied the rehearing motion.
Good evening and welcome to the uh town of Bedford interviews for committees, April 22nd, 2026. Who arrived in the room first? Oh, yeah, Edward Comiskey. Good evening, sir. How are you? I am well, thank you. Thank you. If you could uh just state your name and what committee you'd like to be on and why. Uh Edward Komiski, 40 Maple Drive here in Bedford. Appreciate the opportunity to come in a little late to the party as I was out of the country during the first round of interviews. Uh initially had set up looking at the uh uh the cemetery trustees, which was uh because I understand there were going to be a few openings at heard earlier in the year. Uh since that time, I've noticed that there's also an opening for trustees of the trust fund that was looking forward, and I also saw that the facilities planning. So as I said last year when I was discussing uh positions uh you know with the council, uh looking to serve where needed, if needed. Uh the primary was a cemetery commission. Uh you know, the functional duties and all else right now gainfully employed, but it's something that if needs come up during the day, I can depart uh to do that. Uh if I'd known there was going to be a meeting today of the Senate community, I could have shown up for it. Uh but I'm still getting caught up on everything from being out in a way. Uh so that's generally what I'm looking for, as I said. Uh where needed as needed. Okay. Anything I can address. Okay. Any uh anybody have questions? Any questions from the counselors? Maybe one. Council Lebeck. Um if not the cemetery, do you have a second choice? Just asking. Uh the trustee, is that what you mentioned? Uh the tr the trustees of the trust fund. Uh if there's a need for that, uh, would jump back into part of my uh background in different things. Okay. Uh if you put the letter C and whatever letters you want after it, I have that, uh, having done that for a number of years for a number of companies. Uh so it would be something that would be of interest uh as well. I'm going to continue on the uh Southern New Hampshire Planning Commission as an alternate uh right now, working with uh Mark Snyder and all he and I seem to be the two that are always in attendance for us.
