The first item in our discussion agenda is uh discuss award of 2026-2027 transportation alternative grants, TA grants. Public works and engineering to provide an update and overview of our awarded TA grants for the 26-27 year. Good evening, Mayor and Council. I'm Kemery Yulia, the director of public works. So during this year's transportation alternatives uh application period, we submitted two uh applications and we found out uh the other week that we were successful in receiving awards for both of them. Um so the two projects uh that we have proposed are the first one's called Hoffman Street, Main to Cameron. Uh so that would be the stretch in front of the high school uh to get that curb and guttered. Right now we've got sidewalk proposed on the west side only, but we think there might be an opportunity to bring the cost down enough to get it down both sides potentially. Uh this would also include storm drain um improvements, really similar to what was done on Cavern or Cameron Avenue. Um and then this project would actually meet up with that project, right? So this is kind of part of that greater vision of starting to get these sidewalk connections in through the older parts of town. Um the second project is called Helen Hoffman Sidewalk Improvements. We had submitted for this one in the last cycle, and we just like missed the mark by a tiny bit. Um we got it this time though. So that one installs uh sidewalk along the west side of Hoffman Street up to Helen Drive and then uh the north side of Helen Drive to connect that Cameron Avenue project to Spooner. So that starts to get that safe routes to school in and uh again build out that network. Um the first project's uh estimated to be a $3.1 million project.
