The Belmont City Council held its regular meeting on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at 6:00 PM in the City Council Chambers. The meeting featured numerous special presentations, including Beautiful Belmont Awards, Community Service Awards, and proclamations for outgoing officials and community leaders. The council also certified the November 5, 2024 election results, swore in newly elected council members, honored outgoing Councilmember Davina Hurt, and selected a Vice Mayor for 2025. A reminder that the council meeting, unless otherwise noted, they're all broadcast to live to Belmont residents on Comcast Cable Channel 27. They're also streamed live via the city's website at Belmont.gov. You also have the option to join by Zoom and attend the meeting in the council chambers here at Belmont City Hall on the second floor. If you are in the chambers and you would like to make a comment, please fill out a request to speak slip found at the table at the rear of the chamber. If you're participating virtually, use the raise hand feature to request to speak. For dial-in comments, please refer to the published agenda for instructions, and the meeting ID number is also on the published agenda, and all public comments are subject to a three-minute time limit unless otherwise determined by the chair.
