So it's a good way to end your shopping is to come by to our membership drive, and there will be live music, barbecue, blues, booze, all the things.

So we're just trying to get a community and get local involvement in the museum, um, and just have a community that can celebrate a little bit of Mardi Gras year-round.

So we're very excited about that, and all the information about that is in the packet as well.

Um other than that, uh, we're not expecting a huge amount of rain.

I think it's gonna be more tide and wind, but it could always change with any uh you know update.

Uh we um under the bridge, the lighting.

Can you tell me again about what's going on with that lighting?

Uh yes, we had um you know, we put some new lights under there for the skate park, and uh we had some residents along Hopkins were complaining because they're very bright.

Uh and so what we did was we went in and and we put some timers on that lights, but because the circuitry that's down there, we weren't able to separate them from the other lights that were there existing, the decorative lights.

So we the timer shuts off at I believe it's nine or ten o'clock, but it's shutting all of the lights off.

So uh we were we were just waiting to see how that went.

We haven't really gotten any um any major complaints.

Uh we did put shields on those lights, so if we need to try to take the timers off, um hope hopefully the shields will keep the skate park lights from shining in the neighbors' windows.

We could uh we could give that a try if we need to.

Okay.

Um the houses towards on that upon the body, the one ten bridge, the houses down towards uh division street.

Okay, what kind of lighting we got down there?

So that you're talking about under I-11?

Yeah.

Basically, we have our decorative lighting, which is the very dim lights, and then uh towards down towards division street.

The skate park lights are closer to the railroad.

Right.

I'm thinking about the houses down towards uh division street.

Yeah, so we're gonna make sure that those lights are gone.

We can't the only way we can do it is to is for the skate park lights to also stay on all night because it's all the same circuitry.

We'd have to rerun all the electrical service in that area from division down to the railroad.

So we can we can leave them on, but it'll mean that the skate park lights will stay on as well.

They did a backpack uh giveaway, and I'm gonna estimate it was probably well over three to four hundred people came out there to that park.

The park was clean, the grass was cut, they enjoyed themselves, is what the park was made for.

So I want to thank you for that.

I want to thank the mayor for following through and make sure that happened.

Uh I know that things are tight, but I know that I'm um I missed a few days.

I normally get up, as you officers already know, and I ride out under the bridge and places like that and talk to the homeless.

I encourage them to keep moving.

Uh so if you can uh ask your officers to follow back up with me on that.

Your officers on serving when the second liners did their uh uh backpack giveaway.

Uh I want to say the day came out.

You had some people on the side doing some things that shouldn't be done in the park when we were doing a kids' event.

Your office was very professional.

They came, they talked to them, they stood there to make sure that you know that they were comfortable, realized that you know it wasn't a threat or anything, but that park had been reserved, and they made sure that that person moved on.

That was noticed by the people in the park.

It was noticed by the second liners, and I also noticed it, and I want you to make sure those officers know that that's the way we like things done.

That's good representation.
