First item on our agenda tonight is the consent agenda.

First and only item on our agenda tonight.

And the consent agenda consists of approval of planning commission minutes from February 4th.

And the action proposed action is to approve.

Also includes a CEP 2001, a conditional use permit request for medical office space and general office in the old town residential zoning district on 0.615 acres at 409 East Roanoke Street by Kristen Delac.

And the action, uh proposed action is scheduled public hearing for April 7th, 2020.

Also on the consent agenda is CUP 2002, conditional use permit request for additional height in the downtown commercial zoning district for the Blacksburg Police Department headquarters and parking garage at 200 Clay Street Southeast in midtown development, including portions of various tax map parcels by the town of Blacksburg and the Midtown Development Partners.

Proposed action is the scheduled public hearing for April 7th, 2020.

Um so I was unable to attend the work session, um, but I am going to plan to attend the um planning commission hearing because it's an interesting topic.

Um there they have a request to expand the um Oak Forest Manufactured Housing Community in Montgomery County, and so they're adding you know, a a new cul-de-sac to it.

Um with 20 plus uh unit parcels um uh of manufactured housing.

And you know, manufactured housing serves an important um affordable housing uh group needing affordable housing in in our region, so I'm excited to just hear a little bit more detail about how it's being received by the public and um um you know the how how they intend to make this community desirable.

So I'll report back.

by the public and um um you know the how how they intend to make this community desirable so I'll report back great look forward to that report um any additional items from planning commission members okay hearing none new business chair's report uh I have none uh our planning director's report one item um as we discussed at the work session we have um provided an amendment to the planning commission bylaws um there are two proposed changes the first is to change the start time for public hearings from 7 30 p.m to 6 30 p.m and this will match the um change in start time for town council public hearings as well um and that is in on page six of your draft bylaws um and that would start on June 2nd uh and then also proposed there's a section relating to um uh uh that references the already existing attendance requirement and then also um adds the ability of the chair to grant a temporary leave of absence for a member um so those are the proposed changes and this would be the um first time we talk about this and then you'll follow up and vote on your in your meeting in April now those were distributed by email are you looking for comment back from the commissioners on those or is that just for review um if there is further comment um we're happy to hear hear comment on if we need to make any other changes um I think we kind of generally talked about it at the work session but if there's more specific stuff please let us know.

Okay great thank you town council report uh council is beginning to start work on the budget uh we've had some meetings uh we'll two on two with the uh town manager um at to at today's work session the comments from the planning commission as well as the Hadarb were communicated to the town council in regards to the midtown development review that we did um and so uh we're getting ready to finalize what will be communicated officially to the midtown folks incorporating everything that's been said I can say that uh uh between the excellent staff report that we all had to work with uh Hadarb the planning commission and then council we've all pretty much been in agreement with our observations there's been a lot of everyone's been focusing on on a lot of the same things is concerned questions and concerns and it sounds like some of this some of those um are already being addressed by the applicant we haven't seen them yet but since they set in on a bunch of the meetings they are actually proactively working to try to address some of those is that it sounds like the process is working uh pretty well thank you and with that report we stand adjourned thank you
