Blacksburg Planning Commission Regular Meeting – October 6, 2020

The Blacksburg Planning Commission met on October 6, 2020 at 6:37 PM in the Roger E. Hedgepeth Chambers. The meeting lasted approximately six minutes, adjourning at 6:43 PM. All four present commissioners voted unanimously on the consent agenda. The public hearing originally scheduled for this date was cancelled, and the November public hearing date was moved.

Consent Calendar

• Minutes Approval: The September 1, 2020 Planning Commission minutes were approved unanimously (4-0).
• CUP 20-0004: A conditional use permit request for general office use in the R-5 Transitional Residential district at 1117 South Main Street (0.419 acres) was scheduled for public hearing on November 5, 2020.
• CUP 20-0005: A conditional use permit request for townhomes in the R-5 Transitional Residential district at 1820 North Main Street (6.596 acres) was scheduled for public hearing on November 5, 2020.
• RZN 20-0005/ORD 1941: The public hearing for the rezoning of 40.34 acres at 1900 Toms Creek Road from RR-1 Rural Residential to PR Planned Residential was cancelled and will be rescheduled for a later date.
