Blacksburg Planning Commission Regular Meeting - May 3, 2022
The Blacksburg Planning Commission held a regular meeting on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at 6:30 PM in the Roger E. Hedgepeth Chambers of the Blacksburg Municipal Building. The meeting lasted approximately 5 minutes and was adjourned at 6:35 PM. All seven commissioners were present. That should happen. Okay. Okay. Welcome to the regular meeting of the Blacksburg Planning Commission. Regular meetings are held here in uh on the first Tuesday of each month at the Roger E. Hedge Path Chambers of the Blacksburg Municipal Building at 300 South Main Street. I think I'll skip the part on citizens addressing the commission because well we have one person in the audience, but we'll we'll skip that. So let's with that we'll call the meeting to order. Maybe we have a roll call, please. Mr. Ford, here. Mr. Davis. Here. Ms. Herbine. Ms. Jones. Mr. Gasoff. Ms. Reinhardt. Yeah. And I am here. So we have the full house. Great. On our consent agenda tonight are uh five items. The first item being the approval of the planning uh commission minutes from February 1st. Our second item uh is the C UP twenty-two zero zero one, which is a conditional use permit request for a daycare center in the R4 Low Density Residential Zoning District at 1017 Progress Street, Northwest by Joseph Hennings Hunnings on behalf of the Northside Presbyterian Church. And the action is to schedule a public hearing for June 7th, 2022. Our third item is CUP twenty tw uh twenty-two uh zero zero two, which is a conditional use permit request for a fine arts studio uh use in rural residential uh zoning district at fifteen thirteen boxwood drive by Jonathan Roo. And the action there is to schedule a public hearing for June 7, 2022. Our fourth item is AFD or Agricultural Forestal District 22002, which is a request to withdraw 40.3434 acres uh from the agricultural and forestal district at Tom's Creek Road for the Bearwick Planned Residential District by Jim Lucas, and the action there is to schedule a public hearing for June 7th. And our last item is SUB 2206, which is a major subdivision preliminary plat review for 76 lots on 40 point three four acres at 1900 Tom's Creek Road for the Berwick Planned Residential District. Uh by Jim Lucas, the property owner, and the uh action there is to schedule a public hearing for June 7, 2022. Do we have a motion on the consent agenda? I move approval of the consent agenda as approved. I second all those in favor? Okay, we'll move on to public hearings for which there are none tonight. Citizen comment seeing only one citizen.
