The second is zoning ordinance amendment ZOA sixty-one, an amendment to the town of Blacksburg zoning ordinance to create a new small lot development option in the R4 low resident uh R4 Low Density Residential Zoning District to allow for smaller lot sizes.

And the action there is to schedule a public hearing for March 5th, 2024.

The last item is C UP 234 conditional use permit request for multifamily residential use on the ground floor in the general commercial zoning district on three point nine four acres of an eight point four four acre parcel at two zero three country club drive.

And the action there is to cancel tonight, February uh February sixth, twenty twenty-four public hearing and reschedule for April 2nd, 2024.

I just wanted to report that two weeks ago, the end of January, we did approve the uh the capital improvement program, which we in the planning commission got a a say in that.

Uh last Tuesday, the town council had their biannual council retreat.

We have that every every January after an election, uh, where we talked about town council strategic goals and uh some of those goals uh will be near and dear to our hearts on the planning commission, including transportation, housing, downtown and economic development, uh, expanding recreational opportunities, and continuing to work on our uh community well-being and an engaged community.
