CUP-25-5 – General Office Use in OTR (Old Town Residential) at 207 W. Roanoke Street
- Staff Presentation (Paul Patterson): The property at 207 W. Roanoke Street is currently vacant. A 1980 Special Use Permit (SUP) restricted use to Virginia Tech faculty offices. The owner, John Skelton, seeks to amend the SUP to allow General Office use. Staff recommended conditions: cancel 1980 SUP conditions; install missing trees and landscaping on front and rear property lines; install a town-standard inverted U-shaped bike rack for five bicycles; provide one ADA-accessible parking space with signage; and submit a sign permit before any new signage. A request from the applicant to waive landscaping on the western side due to a drainage swale was noted.
