- Mayor Sutphin congratulated Blacksburg native Rick Devens (transcription notes the name as "Devons") on appearing in the 50th season of Survivor. Sutphin mentioned that both he and Devens are graduates of Virginia Tech's Department of Communication.

The first is the approval of the town council minutes for January 27th, February 3rd, and February 10th. And the second item is an amendment to the memorandum of agreement with Blacksburg Museum and Cultural Foundation and the Virginia Tech Foundation. And we'll be approving this amendment tonight.
