Before we get started, I would like to offer a moment of silence for Adams County Sheriff's Commander Carl Smalley, who died yesterday in an on-duty um accident, I believe, but he did pass away while on duty yesterday.

The first item of business is the executive contract lease or listing for September and October of twenty-five.

So in your packet is our listing of executed contracts for the months of September and October.

Not a super long list, but I do want to point out a couple of our new new contracts that were executed.

One is for the TPIP or the Transportation Preservation and Improvement Program, Asphalt.

That was one of the larger ones that helps us get those roads repaired.

And then additionally, there was a large contract for the North Storage Tank roof replacement.

So those are the two big ones on that list.

But uh contracts are signed and those programs are moving forward.

Yes, we always have a good time with the youth when we go out with them.

Um then I also wanted to give an update for the National League of Cities and our experience of the National League of Cities as a whole.

Um, as some of you may know, over the years, they've kind of cut the youth out of the adult programming, and it's been a hard transition for us.

Um, and I think that while there wasn't a large shift and change in that thought, this conference, I think it is leaning towards going back to the old way.

And so I know a number of council members and the mayor have reached out to National League of Cities and voiced our concerns with that.

So I would just like to thank you for advocating on our behalf and other youth commissions' behalf, and I'll keep you updated as we move forward.

But I think that they have heard a lot of voices, and I think that there is we're gonna notice a shift here very soon.

Um so I will go ahead and have the youth commissioners first introduce themselves and then share their experience.

Uh first, I would like to say thank you so much again, City Council, for continuously supporting us and also for letting us go.

We also had a great time and really appreciated the city council dinner.

Sorry that we are all wearing jeans.

We just came from school, so we didn't have time to change first.

Um I uh I had meaningful discussions with other youth people from across the country, and we didn't really agree on everything, but we still like made it work, and I still really enjoyed hearing their opinions.

Um that experience gave me more practice with making the best of difficult situations, and I can use it in the future for when there's future disagreements.

And my favorite part was going to the aquarium in the Great Salt Lake.

Everybody told us not to go to the Salt Lake, but we did it anyway, and it was definitely worth it.

Um, there you can see a picture of me and Amiri.

We were looking at like a patch of salt crystals on the ground.

It was so pretty that it was like shining in the sunlight and it looked like broken glass shards.

It was really cool.

And the aquarium was just pretty awesome.

During during this year's NLC, I learned just how to get out of my comfort zone with networking and talking to others.

And doing this, I learned how to just navigate different experiences and different challenges, just with people like in my groups at the conference, not really like giving and receiving information.

So that was just like a really interesting challenge to navigate.

And then also at the City Council dinner, I have never really been put in the situation to just go out and talk to adults in that setting.

So it was, although it was a really enjoyable experience, it was very hard for me to kind of just get out there and say whatever, you know.

So I do really enjoy that experience though, and I'm excited to see how it will help me grow in the future.

And my favorite part of going to NLC was the hockey game and the mental health breakout rooms where I learned the difference between stressed and overwhelmed, and just how to recognize my limits and like how I can take that back into my own life.

- Preferred alternative: Maintain four travel lanes but narrow lanes (to 10–11 feet) to widen sidewalks (to 9 feet on south side) and add a raised median (without landscaping for visibility). The option also improves bus service and includes intersection safety improvements (e.g., restriping roundabouts, new pedestrian crossings at Sheridan and Miller Avenue).

Council asked about maintenance (Mile High will maintain the open channel) and agreed to place the IGA on the next meeting's consent agenda.
