Tonight we have an attendance.

First off, we have one communication number 2026, 368, Will O'Connor Land Records Coronator requests Council of Commissioners to review a petition to close and vacate portions of a public right-of-way that has been filed with the BSB planning department as provided for within the ordinance number three six two in BSB municipal code section twelve point zero six point zero one zero one.

Um tonight we have in the audience um Land Record sales Will O'Connor.

I would like to have him come up and speak and also um Mr.

Jeff Hoffman, who um this is um the right-of-way that would be we'll explain a little bit more once we're there just to hear his side of this.

So um Mr.

O'Connor, could you explain to the public works committee?

Yeah, thank you, Commissioner Macins.

Uh this request is for a portion of Berlin Street where out in Williamsburg in the Colorado edition.

Uh majority of Berlin Street has already been vacated.

It happened mostly out in the early 18 or 1980s, some in the 1990s, but this portion is just adjacent to Mr.

Hoffman's property, so he's looking he's been taking care of it, so he's looking to acquire it so he can actually own it and uh take better care of it and actually have ownership of it to take care of it.

Um also from that, um and if you look through um tonight, um and there's not any hard copies of it, but if you pull up the digital, it goes through um some of the things and the questions through the planning department along with uh scope of the uh property.

Um I think the dimensions could you do you know the dimensions of that, Mr.

O'Connor?

Uh Commissioner Macins, I believe the street's sixty feet wide, so and his lot is on the side of that street is a hundred feet, so it'd be sixty by a hundred feet.

Also, could you before we uh talk with uh Mr.

Jeff Hoffman, could you go through the process of for the public and for everybody here um how after you file with BSB planning department on where this will go in the next steps and how it will proceed forward in the next probably month?

Yeah, the uh Commissioner uh Mankins.

So I Mr.

Hoffman would fill out the petition.

The county attorney's office would review the petition to make sure it could go to the council of commissioners.

I would then put in uh communication to have it read and referred to this public works committee.

The public works committee would then either approve it or deny it here or move it to the next step, which would be a public hearing after the public hearing.

Then the county attorney's office would draw up a resolution that would go to the Ju J Judiciary Committee and then be referred back to the to the full council for a vote on whether that vacation is approved or denied.

Um you know, and after going through it, I don't know if like I said, if everybody's had a chance to look at that.

Uh I know that uh uh Mr.

Hoffman's been out there for several years.

He's gone through and along with um not only that, but the petition and had some people of his um neighbors uh sign off that this would be a good idea.

He has taken care of this.

Um if you know where this section is.

I don't know if everybody understand where this location is, but um it's one of these ones that it's very much appreciated in my opinion that Mr.

Hoffman is taking care of this and putting the initiative forward to take care of this even more so than what he already does.

So Mr.

Hoffman, if you'd like to have any anything to say about this.

Yeah, I I just like to further landscape it, fence the area, plant grass, and make it look nice because I've been weedy and it uh it's hard to keep up on the way it is, and so it spreads weeds into my property and so I'd just like to take care of it.

Is that ever been fully developed or is it just platted and never been used?
