  • Trending Analysis of Complaints: Presented by Quentin and Lisa. Showed a progressive downward trend in citizen complaints from 41 in H2 2022 to 15 in 2025. Policy violations also decreased. Breakdown by districts: District 2 (Prince Frederick area) had highest complaints (49), attributed to being the county hub. Calls for service ratio: 0.02% complaints per call. Types of complaints: driving violations, body worn camera violations, conduct toward public have declined. The committee will revise and present quarterly.
  • Sheriff's Report: Sheriff Cox reported on various activities: new deputies, police academy, awards, jail health care contract, homeless services (county purchased a home in Prince Frederick for resources), Citizen Police Academy, drug court, junior sheriff program, school resource officers (6 short of full coverage), Calvert County Public Safety and Justice Center progress, jail accreditation. He highlighted traffic safety on Route 231, DUI enforcement, and speed cameras. He noted that the county is the safest in the state.
  • Outreach Planning: Discussion on increasing public awareness of the board. Suggestions included attending night out events, community events at libraries, churches, etc. Recommendations to be emailed to Michael for coordination. One member offered to help.
