This is for POPS possible action, but before we do so, as you all may recall at our last meeting when we were going over the policies, um we discussed with our legal counsel um that he would be uh researching policy 104, 106, and 107.

Um, it has been a wonderful July in the district.

Um lots of folks who during the school year don't get to take time off, they're taking some time off.

Um, my myself included.

Lots of uh capital projects that are beginning to wrap up across the district, even if they don't maybe look like they are, they are.

Um things will be will be ready to go to start the school year.

Uh today, just to uh put on your radar, because I I don't believe we've talked about this yet, but uh we had a NAS meeting um all day today, and we talked a bit about what's called um the district performance framework.

Uh you all are familiar with the umada school performance uh framework, NSPF, that's the star ratings that we we talk about as a part of Senate Bill 460 out of the last legislative session, which was a massive education bill.

One of the um requirements coming out of that is uh the state working on creating a district performance framework.

So there's going to be some um various data points that are going to be used to give um they're they're trying to frame it not as like judgment but uh uh a sense of how districts are performing overall.

Um that is a relatively unique uh thing.

I don't know that there's any other state that actually does that.

So I will be participating uh on a committee starting this school year called the uh subcommittee on accountability redesign, the SAR committee, um, and which actually our accountability and assessment director uh Ricky Medina already has been a part of as they've been working on developing this.

Um so there'll be more conversations about that, and also um now getting much more into the conversations about the school ratings themselves.

So it'll be some really interesting conversations ultimately uh a lot of those things, the way that we're rated are dictated by the federal government.
