Good morning. This today is Wednesday, October 21st. We're at the Liquor Hearing Officer meeting. It's 8 30 a.m. We're in the community development building at BRICA conference room Brick A, 108 East Proctor Street. I'm calling this meeting to order. Natalie, are there any modifications to the agenda? I don't think there's any modifications to the agenda. There's just been some late material in the staff report. Thank you. Is there any public comment? Seeing no public comment, I'm going to move to item 4B since the applicant for 4A is not present. Item 4B is for possible action, discussion and possible action regarding application for a tavern slash bar liquor license. Liquor 010 370 2026 with Christopher Fredlin as liquor manager for CR Fredlin LLC doing business as rec room tap room. I'm sorry, yeah, rec room tap room. Located at 510 East John Street, Carson City, Nevada. Natalie, I understand there is late material for this, and the late material is a report from the health department. Is that correct? That is correct. Are there any other changes to the staff report? No, there are not. Okay. Is the applicant present? Yes. Please state your name for the record. Chris Fredland. Have you had a chance to review the staff report and the late material? Yes. Do you have any questions or concerns? Nope. Have you run a bar before? Nope. Okay. Well, let me tell you, so normally the sheriff's office would be at this meeting, but what they would tell you if they were here, is it was probably about seven years ago now that the board switched from the liquor and entertainment board issuing a liquor license to allowing a hearings officer to issue it. At that time, the sheriff was very concerned that we might not recognize how important it is to talk to applicants for liquor licenses about not serving minors. You cannot serve minors. You have to card people, you're going to have to take the server training. Any employees you have will need to take the server training. The sheriff's office will use decoys to go in and test you. If you fail, there will be fines and you may be called back here, and your liquor license could potentially be revoked by the board. So just take it really, really seriously. The sheriff takes it very seriously and doesn't tolerate it. Okay, also on the oh, anything do you want to tell me about your your bar? Um progress is moving along quite well, I think. Okay. So hopefully things will move along so I can anticipate opening before Thanksgiving, like I was trying to. Can you get the door, please? Um, Natalie's back, I'll ask a question.
