And uh I I asked Mayor Jason if I could just uh quickly state that uh we have a Castle Rock Day of Prayer coming up.

Uh and it is on September 3rd at Festival Park from nine o'clock in the morning to 11.

And so first off, I'd love to invite all of counsel to come if you'd like to come.

I know Jason is gonna be there, and uh he's gonna kick us off in prayer, uh, which is gonna be great, but uh want to welcome all of you to to join us as well in prayer.

Uh actually let me just say, I was just asking the Lord, what do we I was gonna pray over unity because we all need unity in these times right now.

Um but I felt just the Lord to say that uh just to pray over love.

And uh so let me just read this scripture.

It says this a new command I give you, love one another.

As I have loved you, so you must also love one another.

And it's by this that you will be known as my disciples if you love one another.

And uh there's a quote from A.

Tozer uh that says that you cannot tune a hundred pianos to each other, but you can tune them to one fork.

And so I believe that uh that one fork is it's love, and it's the love that that he gives us that we can give to others.

If we tune to that, we can step into a place of unity.

It says, Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.

So Lord, I just thank you for this amazing town that we live in.

I thank you for uh a mayor who uh who seeks you, Lord, and for council members who seek the Lord.

I ask that you would give them wisdom in this time, that you would give them discernment, that that they would have spiritual wisdom and understanding in this time to walk closely with you and to lead our town in the direction, Lord, that you would have us go.

Um but sometimes life gives us perspective um on what really is important.

Um, I had a really close friend of mine lose his wife to cancer battle for long time, about a month ago.

Another very, very close friend who whose brother is 36 years old, got diagnosed with a brain tumor about three weeks ago and passed away last week.

Um, and of course, we had the tragic uh crash about two weeks ago.

Um, and I I think that kind of thing puts puts life in perspective.

I think that what we need to make make sure is uh making sure that we say I love you a lot.
