Castle Rock Town Council Meeting - July 1, 2025
The Castle Rock Town Council met on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at 6:00 PM in the Town Hall Council Chambers. The project involves converting chemical feed systems to improve water supply reliability and safety. The contract is for long-lead equipment (work package one, $1.3 million), with a second work package to be brought back in August. No public comment. But um one is is uh you know public safety is is hard enough as it is. Um we are police and fire put their lives in the line uh day in day out. Um but when you have a tragedy, a senseless murder that happens in in Idaho less this past week, um that's even scarier. Um these these uh men and women in uniform uh do not need to be put in harm's way any more than they already are. Umfortunate that this is not an isolated incident. This happens on an irregular basis, and it's super unfortunate when we have um people who decide that they are going to take aim at either um public safety or public officials um with the intent of doing harm. And just uh uh my heart goes out to all of our public safety people, and I know how hard a job already is, and uh it's unfortunate sometimes. We make it harder. Uh just it is a it sickens me. Um on a good note, sorry. Um Friday is is uh fourth of July, and I I hope that everyone has this safe and great fourth of July. We have first Friday. Um hopefully to be a fantastic week. Um everyone hopefully can and can celebrate uh the fourth of July and be safe and have great time with your family. With that, Councilmember Bracken. Yeah, thank you, Mayor. Uh I want to apologize for missing last uh last meeting. I had every intention of joining. I was speaking at a fundraising event that went over um by about double. So uh apologize for the no notice and no show and um wish I could have uh made the meeting, but uh sorry it went that way, and hopefully everyone's having a great summer.
