Away and be happy about what you're doing. Um, but we are now back at the work. Um, today's meeting, Monday, August the 4th, and we are going to have two opportunities for uh brief remarks for one. I wanted to talk about me and this idea that we are talking about because I really want to make sure that we revisit the memo that I sent out to last week regarding some suggested changing changes for the council meeting. I know that many people sent back things that they wanted to do, and we've added those to some of our lists, but I think that we if you have additional comments, please let us know what they are and what we can do so that we can put everything together. So with that, let's start off with um having a roll call, and we'll start with Ms. Brown. Maybe cut me up. Oh, I never you're never off guard. I am introductions though. Introductions. Good evening, Renee Johnson, and I'm honored to serve District 4. Anthony Fox, interim city attorney. Ariel Smith, lead city clerk. Okay, thank you, everyone. Um, the city attorney has advised that me that our executive session this evening is to discuss the city attorney hiring process, and that might take us a very long time, several hours. After getting agreement from the committee chairs that were with us during this morning, and all of you that were in a committee, that they have been gracious enough to say that let's go ahead and deal with this one issue right now instead of going and trying to take off what we did with the other committee. So we'll have my understanding is that um the staff and the committee chairs will have written documents for all of the committee discussions that we had. So I think that's where we are, and um I think that we're trying really hard to maintain this process and the time that we're doing this to have this go in as as a wells as a meeting. And so we are going to now move from move towards uh closed session for unless there's some comments. Are there any comments or questions? From the council, we're right. Yes now. So um Ms. Anderson just reminded me that I should talk about this the document that I sent out. And so what I really wanted to just say, we've I've received the feedback from some of you about the revised council meeting approach. And my goal is to advance some of these things in August to help address some of the issues and concerns that we can work better by. So my recommendation is that we give this a try next month or month, and if council wants to take additional steps, we can discuss those at our August business meeting as we go forward. Any questions about that? Miss Johnson. Thank you, madam mayor. Uh, a couple months back we decided or that we were you and I were going to work together to come up with some recommendations. So these recommendations, I know we've had one meeting. Uh, but these recommendations were sort of a surprise. So I wanted to know what's the plan uh for our meetings moving forward. Is this is in is this temporary or where are we? Well, I had meetings with a number of the council members. Some people could do it, some people couldn't make it possible. So what I say going forward is now we have a draft of a framework, and so now I'm looking for any other comments to come back from this framework that we've already had. And so that's why I'm asking for any feedback that you want to have as a result of the email email coming out.
