The board asked for clarification from legal; staff noted the hold was placed by Harold, who was unavailable (attending an ALJ proceeding), but no notes were left in the portal. Staff will follow up.
- New Beer Applications:
- Nine Brothers Collect (Ali Alcadri) – carry-out beer permit, 101 West 38th Street: Zoning approval still pending. The applicant, nearing a year in business without a permit, stated he previously allowed his permit to expire and stopped selling beer for over six months. The board took no action; the application will continue through the automated system once zoning clears.
- Baby Hughes LLC (Harris) – summer beer permit, 8–10 Access (location owned by Adamson with balance): On hold due to building inspection failure, with a note entered last night indicating failed inspection and awaiting corrections. The board voted unanimously to pass this to the next meeting (July 2, 2026). (Motion made, seconded, all ayes, no opposition.)
- Carryover Discussion – Mexiville and Chi-Chi’s Fines: The board revisited the beer violation report and recommended $1,000 fines for Mexiville Mexican Restaurant (809 Market Street) and Chi-Chi’s Chard Chicken (811 Market Street), originally issued by Hearing Officer Rachel Hodges. Citing new information about state law, a motion was made to rescind and dismiss the fines. The motion was seconded and passed unanimously (7-0, including the chair). An order will be prepared and signed to clear the record.

We're in the training phase, so you know, just kind of getting him familiar and whatnot, but we're excited to have him. He's gonna be a good addition to our team. So welcome. All right. Number one, um TE one forty is friends of the festival, Chattanooga waterfront triathlon. Um it's gonna be at the riverfront was approved. Under the new temporary beer permit applications is the Smart Music Project Community Block Party by Robert Davis, T E one thirty-eight. Uh that one is on hold by legal. Is there anybody here representing them? Okay. Number two. River City Company Summer Ween Applicant Emily Mack, TE 141. That one is on hold by legal as well. Okay. Anyone here representing them?
