All right, well, good morning, everybody.

Uh, thanks for being here today.

We have a few pieces of legislation um on the agenda with the new member of the team to introduce, but before we jump into that, um, I just wanted to let everybody know this is my last committee meeting as well.

So um thank you, Councilman's life.

Um, but I will just say that um I've been uh I think like five five plus years.

Um I want to thank this committee uh and everyone involved as well as our team at the airports uh for a great relationship over those five years.

And I think we have a really good product committee that has, you know, uh dove into important issues, uh permanently airport.

Um it's really critical time where we're looking at uh massive investment key facilities now including working to Ohio uh making sure that we get that done right.

Um so again, um just a point of personal privilege I wanted to thank everybody before I uh move on to a different role.

Um I just told everybody, I'm not leaving Cleveland physically, I'm excited about it to be here.

Um in a new role, I will tell you director, I will be supporting your business, I believe.

So uh in that role, so I look forward uh to uh being a customer uh on the airport quite a bit more than uh months and years to come thank you, uh just on behalf of uh myself and members of the department board controls for uh all of your support and your guidance and I've been hearing previously, of course.

We have uh initiatives that are underway.

Uh bring progress in the years to come in just the everyday business as well.

So uh in all of your representation on this body, uh and I'm personally just uh really appreciated all uh thank you for the city and certainly for this asset that is the part important.

I I feel very confident that um I'm leaving in time when the report is the last days we have to come.

True, uh, which is really exciting for the whole team.

All right, with that said, let's jump in.

Actually, Dorothy would you introduce your new team first, I don't think.

I think must be introduced new capacity we've here.

So I'm today I've got two members of my theory.

Uh the first being Scott Carr, who I believe has been at the table once before.

Uh he's the assistant director of Russia Basics and Revenue and a very important role.

He's been incredibly busy since joining the city and the department in February of this year.

And uh very excited to have him on board and presenting one of the others today.

And two is right gentlemen that you all know incredibly well.

He is uh the assistant director of uh operations and public safety.

So he has been on board since June.

So we're going into four months uh with Frank in this role, and he jumped right in terms of uh uh understanding the mission, if you will, uh, and use some of his uh his duties in his former capacity with the city uh heading up the public works uh department are very similar to the role of uh the assistant director of operations of public safety.

So uh he's been a pleasure, and I think he's fitting in incredibly well, and uh I greatly appreciate all that he is bringing to uh my team and all the things that uh we're going to achieve together.

All right, well, I'll director uh I'm sure both folks at this table will tell you that all our loss was your game.

Uh Frank is an incredible leader, and he's a great champion here at City Hall.

So certainly for service programs within the global system, I guess so.

Alrighty, with that, uh let's kick off with ordinance 951245 like council members of McCormick and Griffin by departmental requests and emergency ordinance authorizing the director for control to enter any one or more requirement contracts without competitive bidding with commons in for the purchase of proprietary replacement parts for heavy duty construction equipment and labor and materials to repair and maintain the proprietary equipment for the department of port control for a period of one year.

The three one-year options to renew, exerciseable by the director.

Um today, this item is going to be presented by Mr.

Williams.

This is a director.

Uh, to the members of council, this legislation will ensure that the required machines, equipment, supplies, parts, uh, materials, labor, and services are available to make repairs, uh, maintain up the equipment, heavy equipment at the department of border control.

Uh is a proprietary uh vendor that uh we have quite a few pieces of equipment that are dependent on those parts.

Uh typically the engine repair, heavy equipment are uh what we look for for uh this group.

Uh the anticipated costs are approximately $60,000 annually.

Uh, and again, one with one year, one year or three one year options to renew uh is normally that we do uh here at border control, uh, and I find that it is a uh sustainable practice, especially to maintain equipment with FAA standards.
