Cleveland County Board of County Commissioners Regular Meeting – June 1, 2026
The Cleveland County Board of County Commissioners met in regular session on Monday, June 1, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the Cleveland County Office Building, 201 South Jones, Norman, OK. Chairman Jacob McHughes presided, with Vice Chairman Rusty Grissom and Member Rod Cleveland present. The meeting opened with prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance, followed by roll call.
Consent Calendar
- The board unanimously approved the consent agenda (Items 1–23) in a single vote, including:
- Appointment of Holly Proctor to the Pioneer Library System Board for July 1, 2026 – June 30, 2029.
- A resolution authorizing up to $5,000,000 in additional lease revenue bonds for Independent School District No. 29, supplementing $10,000,000 previously authorized on May 18, 2026.
- Renewal of the USDA APHIS Wildlife Services Cooperative Service Agreement for $3,400 (FY 2026–2027).
- Invoice payment of $920 to Rees Associates for ARPA Project #1.007.

- A clerk's note was raised that Agenda Item 8 (Total Security Center alarm monitoring at 125 NE 12th Street) was listed under District 1 but is actually located in District 2. Commissioner Grissom confirmed with GIS mapping that the address is north of 12th Street and west of Eastern, and the board acknowledged the correction. The item remained on the consent agenda and was approved.

Okay, we'll call a meeting to order of the Cleveland County Commissioners. Uh roll call, please. Here. Here. Uh notice of the meeting was probably posted on May twenty-ninth, twenty twenty-six. Public comment. Do we have anything signed up for public comment? No one's signed up. Okay. Uh consent items. Commissioners, you guys have anything that you need to hold off the consent. I would I do have one thing I want to note. Uh item number eight is actually listed as district number one. And I know you've been paying the bill on it, Commissioner, but that is actually inside district number two. So I just want to make that as a clerk's note that that's inside district two, not one. So does that I mean there's no issue with this. I think what happened is I think this after redistricting that this got changed, but I did pull the map on this. It is in district. You guys are welcome to check it out. Yeah, and it's for public use within the county. I just more or less wanted to make sure uh that we had that list as a correct district. Um it is just north of twelfth street and west of Eastern. And it was confirmed by GIS downstairs. So DA uses that for storage. I think the DA uses it for storage. I think there's I think Rod uses it for aggregates. Uh I think you know, I don't have any intentions of changing what the existing usage is on it. I just wanted to make sure that that was labeled as the correct district. Okay. Any other questions? Anything you guys want pulled off consent. No. Okay. Make a motion we approve the consent agenda.
