All right. Well, good evening, and welcome to uh the Columbia City Council meeting. It's May 4th, 2026. Um we will I'm gonna ask everyone to please rise and join me in the Pledge of Allegiance. I pledge allegiance to the United States of America. And to the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God, individual liberty, and justice for all. All right, Sheila, we please call roll. Miss Buffalo here. Miss Carroll. Here. Miss Elwood? Here. Ms. Sample? Here. Mr. Foster. Here. Miss Hartman? Here. Miss Peters. Here. All right. Well, welcome to Columbia City Council meeting. If this is your first council meeting, I do a quick overview of our agenda. If you have our on your agenda before you items that are currently listed under the consent agenda, unless there's an adjustment to that part of the agenda. There's not normally a presentation on those items, and there's not normally public comment. For items listed under introduction and first read that have an asterisk, they would go on consent agenda at the next meeting. I say this to say because we have multiple opportunities for people to speak at Columbia City Council meetings. At the end under general comments. I asked that in public hearings. I asked that if you were commenting during a public hearing, old business or new business, you keep your comments to the legislation we're discussing. Because at the end of the meeting, the general comments, you can say whatever we want for three minutes, like respectfully so, please. If we represent an organization or a group that's affected by the legislation, we do that so that people have multiple they have multiple top two opportunities to speak, but that also we're not here until Tuesday. We ask for people to respect one another. We can debate ideas and issues, but please do not attack people, and that incre that includes city staff. I asked for people to avoid demonstrations that might intimidate their neighbors from speaking at city council meetings. We want this to be an open space for everyone to be comfortable. Disruptions would be addressed with a warning, and if necessary, removal and recess. When you do come up to make public comments, I ask that you state your name and your ward or your address. That's really for our minutes, so we can make sure we have the right name associated with the public comments. And that's it on the public comment parts. All right, so moving on to our agenda. The first item we have is approval of our previous minutes. So I'll make a motion to approve the April 20th, 2026 special and regular meeting minutes. Do I have a second? Second.
