This special meeting of the Cranston Safety Service and Licensing Committee was called to order on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at 6:00 PM. Chairwoman Heroyan presided. Roll call was taken with all members present: Councilwoman Graziano, Councilman Anduhar, Councilman Retz, Councilman Traficante, Councilman Vazieri, Council Vice President Heroyan, and Council President Wall. No previous meeting minutes were available. No public comment was offered from the audience or online.
I'd like to call a special safety service and licensing committee meeting to order today, Thursday, June 11th at 6 o'clock. First on my agenda, I would like the clerk to call a roll call. Councilwoman Graziano, present. Councilman Anduhar. Present. Councilman Retz. Present. Councilman Traficante. Councilman Vazieri. Council Vice President Heroyan. Present. Council President Wall. Here. We do not have any notes from the last minute, the last meeting, so we are good. I'm gonna open up public comment tonight. Is there anyone here in the public that would like to speak on agenda items only? Tom, there's no one here from the public. Is there anyone online that would like to speak on agenda items only? There is no public comment online. All right, first thing on my agenda tonight is the entertainment license for Nelson Mack. And this was under show cause. That was a scripture error by the clerk. Not a big deal. So we're gonna go right next to new matters before the committee. A new one for the Blue Room LLC located at 2197 Broad Street. And this is for Saturday. They will be opening um for the Gaspy Days parade, and they will have some tables on the sidewalk in front of the business and serving during the Gaspy Days parade. Um the neighbors that have called were perfectly fine with that, and we have had no objections. I did check today with the clerk to see if the mayor was fine with it. She believed he was, so I'm asking for an approval. Motion to approve. Second. Any discussion? Councilman Andah. Thank you, Mr. Uh thank you, Chairwoman Um Heroin. I I just want to applaud the blue room for actually looking into the ordinance and being responsible enough and not taking the law into their own hands like I did in my restaurant in Providence. So I want to apologize to the residents of Ward 3 and apologize to the council for um my name being in the news this week. But uh everything worked out. I'm happy, and with that, I will be a full support of this. Councilwoman Graziano, yes, Councilman Andor. Yes, Councilman Retz.
