And so I'd like to invite up Deacon Joe O'Donnell to accept um this proclamation.

And I just want to say that I'm I'm really honored to be able to read this proclamation.

My both my children and my grandson uh did their faith formation at St.

James.

So I'm very happy about this.

The City of Davis acknowledges the contributions of faith-based institutions to the history, welfare, education, and inspiration of its residents.

The year 2025 marks the hundred and fifty anniversary of St.

James Catholic Church, dedicated to God and sharing the message of hope, mercy, and love to the community through its good works.

Now, therefore, we, the Davis City Council, on behalf of the citizens of Davis congratulate St.

James Catholic Church on reaching this milestone of a hundred and fifty years in Davis and expresses its appreciation for the many positive contributions that St.

James Catholic Church has made to our community.

The people of St.

James Parish and the school uh really appreciate this proclamation.

Uh putting a finer point at it, it really shows reflects the attitude of unity from the from the community of Davis for us, uh, the attitude of goodwill that they've always given us through all these hundred and fifty years.

And I think that relationship will continue for many more generations, and we that's very much appreciated.

Now, in our faith, we are called to love God with our full being and to love our neighbor as ourselves.

Now, in doing that, that's a calling and that'll last to the end of time.

Hopefully, we'll get there someday, but that's a long one.

But it's always an adventure um going through all of that.

You're going to face in parish life the same kinds of trials and tribulations, joys and sufferings that you find in any other kind of life.

But living in the town of community, the community of Davis, we have never felt alone.

We've never felt abandoned.

We've always enjoyed and the support we have had gotten from this town, and we uh remain grateful for that forever.

Now, the town the parish and the school will continue and their mission, they will continue to try to open hearts to the love of God and to the love of neighbor.

And it's through that love that life comes, and it's also through that love that the grace flows within the community of Davis.

We appreciate you joining us on that venture adventure throughout these all these years, and God bless you all.
