Uh you may notice that we've hired three uh candidates.

Uh interestingly enough, they started early this morning at the police academy, so they've started their six-month journey through the basic training.

Uh he had uh obtained employment elsewhere, and then uh one was removed from the list at my recommendation.

So that would bring this list to 16 eligible candidates uh that we have uh to continue working with you.

So um we currently have uh with the the the three uh new hires, we have 58 sworn officers on the payroll.

Um authorized strength is sixty three, um, but I would like to point out that uh city council approved three additional officers in this year's budget.
