- August 2026 Police Certified List: Chief Hernandez and Assistant Chief Justalin presented an update on the list. Eight new names are being added, two candidates are moving (one accepted a job with another employer, possibly military-related, and one was disqualified by Chief Moore for failing additional phases of the hiring process). Candidate Noah Halchins was initially thought to be removed but remains in the background process and may also have a conditional offer from another agency. The department continues to hold physical fitness tests, interviews, and background checks. Three officers are currently in the academy (graduating November) and hope to send three more to the academy starting December 9th.

- Staff introduced Brandon Planey, a new part-time law clerk, who attended the Civil Service Commission meeting as his first public meeting.
