Public Utilities Board Regular Meeting - June 9, 2025

The Public Utilities Board of the City of Denton met on June 9, 2025, at 9:00 AM in the Council Work Session Room at City Hall. • PUB25-084F: Recommended adopting an ordinance authorizing a contract with Texas Meter and Device Company, LLC for water meter reading services, with a total five-year not-to-exceed amount of $3,511,770.00.
• PUB25-086G: Recommended adopting an ordinance authorizing a contract with McMahon Contracting and Construction, LLC for the Westgate Drive Phase 1 Improvement Project in the not-to-exceed amount of $3,914,087.57.

• Item PUB25-089A (Minutes): The Board considered approval of the May 19, 2025, meeting minutes.
• Item PUB25-085B (Holt Texas Contract): Staff recommended adopting an ordinance authorizing a contract with Holt Texas, LTD. through cooperative purchasing for Caterpillar construction equipment repair services, purchases, and rentals. The contract is for one year with four optional one-year extensions, for a total five-year not-to-exceed amount of $14,983,500.00. • Item PUB25-054D (Electric Rate Schedule): Staff presented a recommendation to adopt an ordinance establishing a new electric service rate schedule (ECA LL) for large load customers with a planned or actual single point of delivery meeting or exceeding 20 megawatts. The ordinance also amends the Energy Cost Adjustment and Transmission Cost Recovery Factor Schedules. Staff provided a presentation and redlined ordinance for discussion.
