And then they also got the Joe Lewis Arena site after it was public, it was bulldozed at public expense.

But uh I I digress, but like make if there was that dirty dirt problem, you'd know darn well you have it.

Um the matter is in ongoing litigation, of course, but um it's just uh I guess I just appreciate it.

I appreciate that you guys uh attempted to do something about it at that time.

Um and I guess the broader thing that I'm hoping to, I don't know, the way the city is spending money is super bizarre.

Um, I I think a recent change to section 17 of the city code that allows these departments to sneak all these contracts through and approve them through delegated authority is a big problem.

Um, and previously any attempt to do something like this has been uh staunchly opposed by council because it was viewed as an attempt to usurp city council's oversight authority.

Um the the ordinance that was passed in February uh has removed council's ability um to uh I guess uh keep these departments accountable and ensure that city resources are being spent responsibly.

Um I I think you guys should change that ordinance.

I I don't think it's good for the public.

I don't think it's good for council.

Um I think it it's bad for the separation of powers.
