I'm an attorney with the law firm Tucker Aronsburg, which serves as solicitor for the borough of Dormont. We are here tonight for a public hearing to consider an amendment to Chapter 210 of the borough development code for the regulation of vape shops. This is ordinance number 1660, an ordinance of the borough of Dormont, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, amending chapter 210 of the borough development code to regulate vape shops. Amend Article 3 to update the permitted use with conditional approval process and add general standards for permitted uses with conditions and special exemptions and providing for related matters. The borough has submitted the proposed amendment to the planning division of Allegheny County Economic Development and the Borough of Dormont Planning Commission and has now scheduled tonight's hearing in accordance with the municipality's planning code. Additionally, the borough advertised tonight's hearing and the subsequent special voting meeting in the Pittsburgh Post Gazette on August 9th and August 16th. At this time, the borough will now open the floor for public comment on the proposed ordinance 1660 regarding regulation of vape shops. But rather for the council to hear commentary by any member of the public who wishes to speak in support of or against the proposed amendment 1660 vape shops. Per the borough standard rules, public commentary will be limited to three minutes per person. And we would just ask that you uh start as usual with your name and address, please. As we're opening the floor for comment again, just want to remind folks that ordinance 1660 is specific to regulation of vape shops and nothing else. If you would please press the red button, the button in front of you, and there you go. I want out on a possibility to Mississippi. I just need to note what this proposal is. Um I didn't read in the paper. What is the proposal about the vote shocks? So there will be a there's a full copy um available for review on request. Um and uh you know we're not gonna go through the specifics of the entire amendment tonight, but essentially the ordinance is for um establishing a process by which the council can review applications for uh new vape shops and uh the standards by which the council will review uh those applications um as well as uh imposing conditions on uh the vape shops uh under those applications. Are there any public comments on from anyone online? Any further comment or anybody in the audience seeing hearing none, then we will adjourn the public hearing and we'll reconvene at six o'clock for the special voting meeting with that meeting adjourned, hearing adjourned, excuse me. Yeah, six o'clock having arrived at call this meeting, special voting meeting of the borough council to order.
