Topics included transportation noise limits, non-transportation noise performance standards, code enforcement data (15–31 cases/year, mostly construction noise), and animal noise complaints (Title VIII, barking defined as 10 minutes in a 30-minute period). Discussion revealed that animal control officers are not available between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m., limiting nighttime barking enforcement. Commissioners expressed concern about the lack of quiet hours for animal noise and suggested potential City Council review, though staff noted such changes are outside the Planning Commission’s jurisdiction. No action was taken; the presentation was for informational purposes.
