Special City Council Meeting - April 23, 2025: Closed Session and Litigation Authorization
The Elk Grove City Council held a special meeting on April 23, 2025, at 5:00 PM in the City Hall Council Chambers. After convening in closed session to discuss anticipated and existing litigation, the council reconvened in open session to report actions taken.
Closed Session Report
The council disclosed that during closed session, by a 4-0 vote (Councilmember Brewer absent), it authorized and directed the City Attorney's office to defend the case of Naima Abboushi v. Eric Aguirre, City of Elk Grove, et al. (Sacramento Superior Court Case No. 25CV007779).
Adjournment
The special meeting was adjourned at 6:00 PM.

All right, thank you. We have reconvened from closed session, and I would like to make the following disclosure. By a four to zero vote, with uh councilmember Brewer absent, the city council authorized and directed the city attorney's office to defend the case of Abushi versus the city of Elk Grove as identified by the case number on the City Council meeting agenda. With that, we will adjourn the special meeting at 6 p.m.
